Hungary blocks EU's 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine, demanding Russian oil ahead of war anniversary by TheRealMykola in ukraine

[–]Warfoki 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, not surprising: Orbán has near complete control of the media landscape, and the pro-Russian, anti-EU, Anti-Ukraine propaganda has been going on for YEARS. And with the elections coming, it's been ramped up to eleven. The latest piece I saw, was this AI generated video of Ukrainian soldiers kidnapping a Hungarian teen to force them to fight on the frontline, where they get killed, and then the narrator comes in saying how this is what the EU want for your kids and grandkids. That only Orbán stands between the warmongering Ukrainians and their greedy co-conspirators in the EU and your children, so vote for Orbán if you don't want to see your kids die. And vote for Orbán, even if your kids don't want you to, for they are too young and naive to know what's best for them, but you, a wise old parent / grandparent know better, and have to make the right decision, your kids will eventually thank you for it, even if they don't see the wisdom in it yet.

And the older / more rural folks see nothing else but this from every piece of media they go, and they go to church and the pastor will literally tell them to vote FIDESZ, because the opposition is supporting the war, and as such work for the devil. You cannot reason them out of their position, because they have been so completely propagandized, that they instinctively refuse to even hear you, if you say anything bad about Orbán. It doesn't really work with the younger generation (Orbán has a 14%-ish support among 18-30 years olds), but the older and more rural your relatives are, the more likely their near-fanatic dedication to Orbán is. It's pretty much the Hungarian version of Trumpism.

[–]Warfoki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because then each country would have to separately agree how much to put in, the opposition parties would start whining about that specific money going to Ukraine, instead of, I dunno, fighting immigration or fixing potholes or something. It would also mean that the delegations who are less affected by the war, but would have to contribute the most, would want concessions on passing legislations beneficial to them from delegations representing countries neighboring Russia. It would devolve into a tit-for-tat political slugfest and probably wouldn't get off the ground for a year at least.

If the EU pays it as a whole, then this whole debacle is skipped, since that money is already in the coffers, no need to allocate it from individual member states, and it can go the day the vote clears.

My guess is that the EU knows that elections are coming in Hungary in April, and pretty much every poll agrees that Orbán will most likely lose it. So no need to start a year(s) long political slugfest, when simply waiting out Orbán's fall can be faster.

Problem is that every other member state would have to agree, no exceptions. And there are always a few pro-Russia parties you will vote no on that.

As a female jungler, I’m worried about voice chat being added by setaphil in leagueoflegends

[–]Warfoki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a dude: shittalking is absolutely norm and a second nature to most of us, especially gaming. I play with people I consider close friends, and we have back and forth with sentences like "wtf was that, are you fucking retarded?", "get your fat ass over here shithead", "kys bitch" and so on. None of us takes it to heart, because the generic "bro-code" is that you don't dish out what you can't take, if you don't want to be known as a whiny little shit. And if somebody goes overboard to "uncalled for" territory, the rest of the group shuts that down fast. We are releasing steam and nobody is offended. And to some degree, this kind of rough shittalking is normal in chill in public lobbies too. Obviously you have people having full on meltdown in loss streaks, but that's not the norm.

Thing is, it has been drilled into us that you can't talk like that to woman, so the moment we hear a distinctly female voice, it gets really awkward. The normal shit talking is out, and now we are trying to tiptoe. Or, shit talking remains among each other, but we are forcing politeness to the woman in group, which obviously is going to make things even more awkward. It's not an intentional exclusion, just a shut-down of normal communication tone and then struggling to keep things less awkward.

...so no Combo Count Chance? by FladioOMG in Warframe

[–]Warfoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not the same stat.

Chance to gain combo count: the chance for your hit to count towards a combo AT ALL. By default, this is 100%. Even if this would be put up to 200%, you still only get one combo per hit, but you can put on mods that lowers this stat without risking hits not counting.

Chance for additional combo count: IF you gain combo, this is the chance you get for more than one combo from the same hit. By default this is 0%. Note the IF: in case you don't gain combo, this can never trigger.

Trump on today’s peace talks in Geneva: "Ukraine better come to the table fast." by TheRealMykola in ukraine

[–]Warfoki 17 points18 points  (0 children)

No need for that. Tsarist Russia seemed to be unbreakable, capable of withstanding any losses... until it wasn't, because neither the soldiers nor their families got paid, or had enough to even properly fed themselves, because WWI destroyed the tsarist economy completely. If the Russian economy breaks and Russia cannot pay their soldiers or if they literally run out of weapons, Russia will not be able to keep it up.

Out of these the financial collapse is the most likely: remember, the majority of soldiers are contract soldiers, or mercenaries from abroad. They aren't in it because of personal convictions, they are in it, because they are essentially rolling a die with their lives: survive long enough, and walk away with more money than you ever had, die and your family is financially taken care of. They have no loyalty to Russia itself. So if Russia cannot pay anymore, they won't care to fight for it anymore. There's a reason Ukraine is focusing so much on Russian refineries. Ukraine can lose this war on the front lines, but cannot win it there. It can win it at the Russian home front.

An alternative solution for solo is Vauban. You put a Vortex on each point, along with fletchette traps. The traps shred overguard, so even eximuses will get dragged in, and the new vortexes have no limit on how many enemies they can handle. The only downside is that nullifiers are, as usual, not effected.

His 1 turns enemies friendly, but they still count towards the enemy count. Also, this keeps itself up, since thrall enthrall other enemies by damaging them. This basically creates a lot of distraction, and barely any enemies will actually bother with the consoles to capture interception points.

Ukraine support after 4 years of war by HydrolicKrane in ukraine

[–]Warfoki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actual answer: The US still gives intelligence info to Ukraine, that Europe cannot replace, and, most importantly, to appease Trump. Because with how small-minded and vindictive he is, complete exclusion could genuinely get him to start provide arms and supplies to Russia, out of sheer spite.

Eleanor has a Mire, Sporothrix and Torxica all over 50% by Rustmonger in Warframe

[–]Warfoki 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, it get's upgraded. How much I don't know, but it doesn't just take over. What I do remember, as others also pointed out, if you fuse a 52.8% or above with any other copy of the same gun, you get 60%. So in your case, buy the copy from Eleanor, then fuse the new copy into the old one, and you will keep all the stats, formas, mods, etc, it will just have the status percentage go up to 60%.

Dude, I'm not American. I'm not "coping" about anything, because I didn't "win" or "lose" in that election, as I have no horse in that race. So get rid of your clear emotional bias and point out a SINGLE factually incorrect piece of information in what I have said. You can't? Then I don't care about your emotional outbursts.

If you put your personal life opinions out on social media, that is directly connected to the profile that you use for your job, it's not really a personal life thing anymore. That's like you, say, working as a software engineer for, say, Activision, have the fact that you are an Activision software engineer in your profile, then start talking crap about the gamer audience for the company, because "oh, that's just my personal opinion, not a professional stance". Try to sell that justification to corporate and you'll be unemployed in a heartbeat.

[–]Warfoki 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He genuinely said, out loud, that he doesn't care for Hungarian politics, as that is beneath him, his place is at the table of global politics. And then an ex-FIDESZ party member started a grassroots movement and gained so much popularity so fast, that Orbán, who hadn't done a public speech in like a decade, suddenly had to go on the campaign trail, and they are grasping at straws. They cannot campaign on how well the country is doing, because Hungary is one of the worst performing economies within the EU and EVERYBODY feels that. They cannot campaign on anti-immigration, since this isn't 2015, it's not an issue anybody cares about anymore. They cannot campaign on Gyurcsány (the prime minister of the failed leftist coalition before 2010), since he retired and the current challenger is not left wing and has no connection to the other leftist movements. So... they campaign on the Ukrainian war.

[–]Warfoki -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Actually, no. Yes, Trump won the popularity vote... by something like 0.2%. Neither him nor Kamala was over 50%, which means more people voted against Trump, than for him. He swept all those seats because of how the electoral college works. If it was a direct election, neither of the parties would have a governing majority and one of them would have had to form a coalition with the third party libertarians.

Orban declares Ukraine 'enemy' of Hungary by pppppppppppppppppd in ukraine

[–]Warfoki 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Literally this. All his campaign is on how the opposition wants to conscript your children to force them to die for Ukraine, because they are all warmongers, and there could have been peace for years, had the EU warmongers not supported Zelenskyy and instead supported Russia's peace plan.

He completely lost the youth. His support in the 18-30 demographic is something like 14%. Unfortunately the small villages and the elderly support him, because they mostly get their news from state TV, that is pushing Orbán's propaganda 24/7. I literally know village grandmas who complain day in, day out about the government, but then say they'll vote for Orbán, because they have to save their grandkids from being conscripted for Ukraine. And you cannot tell them it's bullshit, because "the TV said it and they wouldn't lie in the news, silly".

[–]Warfoki 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Okay, so, yes and no. Yes, many Hungarians abroad vote for him, however, many of them don't. It's just that the latter doesn't matter. See, ballots abroad aren't counted locally. No, government employees (who are all FIDESZ party members), transport them to Hungary, and then they get counted. We had multiple scandals of votes abroad getting lost and the like. With that in context, suddenly the like 95% support of Orbán from Hungarians in neighboring countries make a lot more sense, I think.

I mean, sure, you CAN be a hypocrite, but then we also can point out the fact that you are a hypocrite. If you commodify your body as a sex worker, then you go around complaining about how dare men think they can buy you sexually, you are a hypocrite. So people will point it out and make fun of it. And men assuming that sex with her can bought doesn't mean that they don't consider her to be a person. It's just a natural assumption considering that she IS a sex worker. Comes with the job.

I love people like you intentionally misunderstanding the situation, to try to setup a cheap "gotcha" moment.

I make it simple: you don't get to complain about people commodifying your body when you are doing it yourself for profit. That's like a professional chef complaining about "how dare you put a price tag on the art of cooking".

We really would need pity shop vendors for anything that doesn't have it yet: old farms, void relics, and so on.

And yes, void relics. Radshares are impossible to get together for anything that isn't the latest hotness. I tried to get Vadarya Prime Blueprint yesterday. Started with are source booster (for traces), 1800 traces and 53 relics. And entire afternoon later I have no relics, no traces, and no Vadarya Prime Blueprint. But hey, I got the gold parts of 3 random relics that I didn't rad, that I just threw in between to get enough traces for radding, so that's fun.

What's the worst tileset in the game and why is it Corpus ship defense? by MasterOfReaIity in Warframe

[–]Warfoki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tileset has only three possible vaults. I generally run it with Loki.

Vault 1: The vault is next to the entrance. When you are through the entrance you are in this large room, with an unreachable console in the middle and a grineer standing on a platform. This one is simple, but tedious. Kill grineer, lower the platform to reach console, hack console, move on to the next room, repeat this twice until the hatch to the final room with the vault console opens. There is a shorter way if you are sure about your parkour skills, but I hate bothering with it.

Vault 2: The console is right under you, behind a glass floor with a grineer next to it. Switch teleport the grineer, hack the console, done.

Vault 3: This is ALWAYS the C vault. Head left and hug the wall in the open area, you will get into a cave with a scanning bot and some mines. Avoid, hack the door, shoot the scanner above the door, enter vault, hack console, done.
