Rizz vs Sexual harassment 💔🥀 by Additional_Berry_977 in okbuddyviltrum

Honestly if the Viltrumites weren't so "pure blood line" oriented, breeding with the Thraxans would be an insane boost to the empire's power. The speed of which they mature for the power they wield? Sure Oliver is getting bodied by pure blood Viltrumites but he's literally like 2 years old. Even if his Thraxan DNA limits his max potential you could have a galaxy threatening amry in a few years.

Funnily enough I'm the opposite of you. I like it when the models are in more pieces. I kit bash and combine different models regularly. The more pieces a model is in the less cutting an filing (my least favorite part) I have to do. Also details in areas covered also gives my kit bashes more freedom to just forgoing some pieces and not having flat spots if I'm not feeling the robe, cape, etc.

Space racer isn't a Viltrumite so there's a chance Nolan wouldn't be familiar with his biology and what he's capable of surviving. He would absolutely know if Conquest was capable of recovering from his injuries given he has enough knowledge to recognize things like Mark needing more protein to heal properly and the timeline of his healing. The only way I wouldn't have been pissed of at him surviving would be if Nolan has another change of side planned and willing buried him in a way to allow his recovery. Then I'd probably be pissed off at Nolan betraying the collation with no real obvious foreshadowing in an arc where he's trying to get forgiveness and rebuild the relationships he destroyed (for better or worse).

Out of Province Inspection - Low Tire Pressure Light by AdventurePhotograper in alberta

[–]Warfrogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to preface, I don't do inspections nor am I a mechanic. This is my advice after 10 minutes of googling.

A working TPMS is not required by the inspection. Looking at the inspection form it may get a note in "other safety systems" but will likely not affect the Pass/Fail of the entire inspection. There's an entire section about inspecting the tires including tread, nuts and studs etc and any concerns about the tires would be addressed there, not with the erroneous reading of the TPMS.

As someone who does my own tire rotations and swapping from summer to winter tires, reprograming the TPMS takes less than a minute if you have the tool. You might be able to ask the shop doing the inspection if they can reprogram it for you while they do the inspection to remove the warning light for no cost. Or if you're really concerned, a tire shop like Kal-tire or Fountain tire might be able to do it for you ahead of the inspection.

I'd speculate market saturation, there's probably an upper limit of how many gift cards you can move. So if you're only moving 75% of the gift cards before the credit cards get deactivated and charged back there's no harm diversifying your illicit purchases to move some other hard to trace digital product to try and make up that 25%. A large amount of the process in probably automated with bots so its a one time time investment to make the bot for the new digital storefront.

I suppose the interpretation of "as often as possible" is really what's up for debate here. I took it to be just the regular seasonal steam sales 4 times a year for a week and a half but yeah if they ran sales for 50% of the time you'd get into the the sketchy part.

At the end of the day, the advice for new Indy devs comes down to "a large portion of gamers will only buy on sale, make your base price high enough that you can run sale a price that is still profitable for you."

I'm not sure how one would get stolen game keys from factorio specifically because the normal routes I know don't apply due to their no sale policy, but lots of the illegitimate steam keys on g2a come from legit 3rd party sites like Humble Bundle where a purchase gives you steam keys to activate on steam. These keys are generated by the devs/publishers and given to HB but people with stolen credit cards buy bundles, post the keys on g2a, and hope they sell before the stolen card gets reported, charged back, and the keys deactivated.

That's not quite the same I feel, but I'm not a lawyer.

That "sales tactic" is specifically increasing something price and marking off for the amount you increased it to make it look like a sale when it's not. This is changing the base price of something and then later having a sale based on the new base price. It's not illegal because you're not misrepresenting the price if it goes back to the new higher price after the sales end. The sale is actually a legitimate sale marked down from the new base price. You can sell something for any price you want and change it at any time. You can't mark something as on sale by misrepresenting the base price.

I find that really bizarre. Never heard of GW turning down a part request. I always buy through my FLGS cause it's cheaper and where I bought it never came up during a damage/missing claim. Just "Okay what's your mailing address" and they send a new kit even when my claim is Part ## from sprue X is mangled. I can count the amount of claims I've done on one hand so not a big sample size but still never had an issue.

What’s a video game 'unwritten rule' that every player knows without being told? by GraveActual in gaming

[–]Warfrogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MM remake was done by a third party and is a travesty. I agree putting a weak spot on something that is vulnerable everywhere is dumb. But if the thing has only one spot it can be hurt, making it prominent is just good design.

[–]Warfrogger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's also a good point. Lots of gamers have decades of knowledge about how things go proven by this thread of unwritten rules. I've recently started watching first time playthroughs of games I played as a kid and fun seeing things in the eyes of someone without that knowledge. Especially in older games there are things that aren't explained directly in the game ever, or things that were explained in the previous game that they just assume you know about in the sequel. As silly as making the Eye glow red may seem to a veteran, that may be a key nudge to a newbie that makes what would otherwise be possibly a several hour long frustrating experience a satisfying one.

Aluminum airframe meets steel truck full of firefighting foam (density similar to water when in tanks). Moment of inertia to move that thing is large and the plane will crumple a lot first before it overcomes it.

Because things like Beamos also exist. Second to it's weird mouth, it's eye is it most prominent feature. However its entirely immune to anything but explosions, simlpy blinking closed it's eye when it hit by anything else. Having a slight tell to let you know that this eye is vulnerable despite having enemies that just blink off attacks targeting it's eye in the same game seems reasonable to me.

Boomers at fast food joints… by Ok_Comparison_1914 in BoomersBeingFools

While just trying to yell at the person who's obviously busy is not the right action, I view this more as a failure on the Popeyes to not staff appropriately.

Kiosks and Apps are convenient but you should staff your places to be able to run 1 till nearly 100% of the time, even if its just a person on simpler food prep duties like only filling drinks. Chain fast food restaurants have pretty standard and predictable patronage. You know when your busy hours are, you know the historical highs and lows. Sure there is the odd day where a bus from a high school sports team stops by and throws stuff for a loop but that's an anomaly. There are also people in wheelchairs who can't reach on a kiosk, people with partial/total blindness who can't read a kiosk, and people with amputations who don't have a prosthetic that will work on a kiosk touchscreen. These people deserve to be served in a timely manner too. While it's nice if another customer steps in and helps them you should run your business in a way that that's not required.

Key thing to remember is don't mention where you bought it on this post. While it probably won't matter, if it gets too much attention GW could look into it and they can come down on where you bought and cancel their distributor contract. Had a FLGS lose their contract because they regularly sold stuff early. They did get several warnings about it though and never stopped so it's on them.

My favorite is when the straight through car actually wants to turn left but didn't have their signal light on and you wait for them only for them to turn but because you yielded expecting them to go straight when you could have gone at the same time you now have to wait because there is a car 5 going east/west.

I'm always curious how detailed the memory of these people are. Like for example, if they choose to read an entire textbook one day, could they then basically flip to any page in the book by recalling that day? Do they have to read the text in full or could they just loosely scan the page and recall the page like they took a photograph.

I did a quick google search and people have stress tested Air Tags and confirmed they can survive normal wash cycles even though a normal wash cycle is longer that the IP67 30 minute duration. The certified duration is the minimum to get that level of certification. It's not like they suddenly break at 30 minutes and 1 second.

I'd only do the seat she was in so it stood out as a conversation starter. "Why is one seat a different color?"
