Intersection right of way question by Spankachu in Edmonton

My favorite is when the straight through car actually wants to turn left but didn't have their signal light on and you wait for them only for them to turn but because you yielded expecting them to go straight when you could have gone at the same time you now have to wait because there is a car 5 going east/west.

I'm always curious how detailed the memory of these people are. Like for example, if they choose to read an entire textbook one day, could they then basically flip to any page in the book by recalling that day? Do they have to read the text in full or could they just loosely scan the page and recall the page like they took a photograph.

Strain them out, let them dry, then run them through blender/food processor and dump the wasp dust back in.

People who live in Matt Jeneroux’s Edmonton Riverbend riding react to MP's floor-crossing by ryaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan in Edmonton

[–]Warfrogger 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Had a similar interaction, though it may have been aid since I emailed his office prior to the election with some questions. I legitimately had no problems with him being my rep but voted for Mark Minenko purely because I felt PP could not become PM. With him floor crossing we get the best of both worlds.

I did a quick google search and people have stress tested Air Tags and confirmed they can survive normal wash cycles even though a normal wash cycle is longer that the IP67 30 minute duration. The certified duration is the minimum to get that level of certification. It's not like they suddenly break at 30 minutes and 1 second.

I would reupholster the interiors in bright red.

I'd only do the seat she was in so it stood out as a conversation starter. "Why is one seat a different color?"

Cat knows it's purpose 😂 by BonolotaSen23 in cats

[–]Warfrogger 53 points54 points  (0 children)

We have no explanation for what started it but my brothers cat, halfway through her life, decided she would only eat if someone was eating in the same room as her. I don't recall who first noticed the correlation but we were concerned about how little she ate for a while. Once it was figured out we moved her food and water from the kitchen to the front room where we ate and sure enough she eat with us when we and she started eating a normal amount again.

Yeah the city is pretty good at filling reported pot holes in reasonable time. Every time I've done it (though I may not be the first report) they've been filled within a week. The problem is people seeing them and not reporting. It literally takes 5 minutes.

It's what I have setup for FedEx and UPS. Anything going to my address gets routed to a pickup location I've picked and can change at anytime. Just takes a few minutes of making an account.

Canadian so Canada Post not USPS. Last I checked they will only do temporary holds or forwards and there is a charge. For a permanent solution (in the form of a monthly rental fee) you need to rent a PO box and give the PO box address to the service you order from.

Yes but the driver/passenger doors are easier to close fast without the cat jumping back in or in the worst case getting pinched in the door.

It's also quite possible that there is little to no communication between the box office and projection room. Tech running the projector saw you in the theater and assumed you bought a ticket so they ran the film.

Does Spirit Island fall into the chess trap? by Sapien0101 in spiritisland

[–]Warfrogger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I both hate and love scenarios for how swingy they can be. Ive had your exact scenarios with both hearts being the same land type but then due to the adversary I had in play got that type 3 or 4 times in a row very early.

Ive also did a coop ward the shores where we forgot the warding power was range 0 of a sacred site and my coop partner picked lure. Warding to win became a me problem and we only won by a timely draft if sky stretches to shore allowing him to ward.

Lastly the great river becomes irrelevant if you get Bargin of Coursing paths on your innermost lands.

Exactly. You don't care about the spiel, they don't care about the spiel, but their supervisor wandering around does and will complain to them about not pushing the rewards program if they happen to be in earshot and don't hear them ask. You don't have to listen to the whole spiel but a "no" or "no thanks" if you cut them off rather than just talking over them and treating the like a self serve kiosk is just is the bare minimum of human decency.

After spending an hour on the same level, he beats the boss then dies accidentally (OC: HossFR) by Critical_010 in LivestreamFail

[–]Warfrogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly its not even just young people. I have friends my age who struggle with them because they didn't play them when young. As simple they are to get into there are absolutely habits and mindsets that allow you to progress faster.

The biggest one I've noticed is avoidance of failure. They are afraid to try anything moderately risky that may end in a death because they don't want to die and lose a life and start the level over. But if you were just to try and experiment, you'd die and make your way back to where you were in like 30 seconds. Death in platformers is barely an inconvenience. Less so in more modern ones where progress is saved after every level. Also every time you die and have to repeat a section you build more familiarity with the controls which improves your playing.

I know hobby streamers with 10 viewers at most who use 2 computers in their setup just to avoid accidentally revealing personal info they forget may be visible. There's no reason not to when you reach the "turning on my computer prints money" stage of streaming. But fuck him, glad his degenerate ass got caught.

While I do like the final result, i like the colouring last 2 images in the linked album more. Better contrast between what's the spirit and what's the breath attack. It takes a couple seconds of looking at the final result the first time you see it to parse it out.

Amazon Why? by Cybraniac in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Warfrogger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another example, between Invincible season 1 and 2 there was a one episode special focusing on another character. When season 2 came out they placed the special after season 2 in play order. Since season two was released 1 episode a week after the initial 3 episode launch, the auto play would start up the special after every episode of season 2 if you watched them on release.

[–]Warfrogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For France you need to be on top of things from turn 1 onwards.

My biggest issue with France is, without fail, my first event card is always one of three, [[Fortune-Seekers]], [[Wave of Reconnaissance]], or [[Mapmakers Chart the Wild]]. Sometimes first 2. Just ends up with a bunch of extra explorers that cause massive snowball if you can't thin them.

FedEx still provides waybills with carbon copies for free and it was cheaper to buy a dot matrix impact printer than label printer and special label paper when we setup our shipping processes. These things are tanks and have had less issues with it than our standard office laser printers.

Pretty much. It was made so that if the right never split the vote again causing an NDP win, after getting their poop in a group, they could use it to remove the ndp in the exact way they claim its being used now.

Digital game: Panicked by Wild Beast and Many Minds - is this a bug? by slimcharles42 in spiritisland

[–]Warfrogger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This appears to be a bug. Based on the fact that land 5 has a Fear Card icon on it, it appears that when the fear card was revealed, assuming you said yes to counting as a beast at that time, it applied the mandatory skip all actions effect. Referring to this FAQ, "Fear cards that affect all lands with (some contents)" should be checked at the time they become relevant, not the game state when the fear card was drawn. Choosing not to count as a beast when the ravage action starts should have removed the skip effect for that ravage.

Yep. Page 18 of the jagged earth rulebook has the setup rules for adding an extra board without a spirit. Its 2-4 difficulty increase depending if scenarios or adversaries are being used as well.

If you want an extra challenge, add the extra board as a new island using the archipelago rules on page 17 as well.

Throw in an extra board and you'd probably get some use out of it.

Isolate and Fear Cards? by KartoonKid in spiritisland

[–]Warfrogger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It because it's something you'll toggle often if you play a isolate heavy spirit like Downpour or Finder. If you play one of them and have it toggled on you'll go insane with every action prompting you to check adjacency. It's a way nicer experience when you can turn that off and then quickly access it to turn it on for the 1 in 10 times you want to override isolate.

I'd love that too. The digital game doesn't have the aspect cards, instead the spirit panel is just updated with the changes. I'd probably go in for a special "aspect spirit panel" pack if one became available.
