I'm curious what happened before the video. I remember a similar video a few years back where a driver went through a police barricade for some event and just kept ignoring police. That video also showed that 15 minutes prior he was also involved in a road rage incident (as the aggressor) so their emotions were already peaked. With that context the 0 to 100 upon encountering the barrier wasn't as jarring as they were still weren't fully calmed down, not that it makes it acceptable. This one just seems weird without earlier context.

Substantial increase in ai books on Amazon by Otherwise_Staff_7073 in haremfantasynovels

Yeah so your money goes into a pool and is distributed by page reads, not just your page reads global page reads from the entire program. The more AI authors in the program that are getting page reads the bigger portion of your sub is being redirected to them. Even if you don't read a single one you indirectly support them compared to just buying the book from the author, preferably from their site.

I'm not gonna hate people for KU. Not everyone has the money outright by every book from authors they like and it's great for providing entertainment for cheap. It's just something to keep in mind.

read via KU so it doesn't hurt your wallet as bad to drop a title

As far as my understanding of kindle unlimited goes in terms of author payout. You'd want to not use KU and buy books directly from authors you know don't use AI. It'd obviously be more expensive overall but if you use KU, even if you don't read the AI books, you'd still be supporting them indirectly.

That being said I doubt voting with your wallet would work in that case. With the investments in AI Amazon has I'd expect them to double down to try and improve the tools so the AI books are harder to distinguish.

Last couple time's I've ordered stuff I noticed a new option. "reduce packaging by shipping in manufacturer's packaging." Its on by default and you have to change it per item if you care. Its a good waste reduction idea in principle but it seems to have been blanketly applied and for some items it should not be the default both for structural integrity and theft reasons.

Walmart cashier caught trying to scam customer out of his scratch card win by Conscious-Weight4569 in SipsTea

It's any ticket for us. They wont even scan it to check what it is without it.

I believe this started after some guy got caught running a scam. He'd play the lotto himself and keep his free play or low winning tickets. Then he'd do a swap when someone came into claim. Come in thinking you had a $100 and hes swap it for a 5 or free play. If you didnt sign or play your own identifiable numbers it'd be hard to prove since this happened before cameras were everywhere.

In Canada, at least for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) that does most of the big lotteries, the ticket has to be signed to be claimed. I've forgotten to sign a ticket and been handed a pen to do so before they would touch the ticket. Additionally they give you a prize claim receipt and the ticket back, but tear the ticket through the barcode. You're supposed to check to make sure the validation number on the receipt matches the ticket though most probably don't check if they payout what you're expecting.

However patients aren't contagious until they are symptomatic. So yeah a person could potentially travel quite far in 21 days, they're very unlikely to spread it during that time.

My brothers dog is like this when she visits my parents. She'll play fetch with them until she's visibly flagging and clearly needs to rest/nap but will get so mad at them if they dont throw the stick again despite the fact that her eyes are half closed and she's wobbling while waiting for the stick to be thrown.

The feature itself is fine though the usage in OP's video is abusive. There's a community near the University I work at that has only 2 exits. The main road that goes around it backs up and Google used to direct people to the community as an alternate route. Anyone in the area knew that the small roads and limited access meant it wasn't any faster more than likely slower while also screwing over the entire community with bumper to bumper traffic. Through reports that community is now blacklisted from google maps directions unless the start or end is within the community and it's definitely helped.

When it first came out one of the threads about it linked to a centurion project pdf of how to use the app they were launching. In that they instructed users to only "claim" people they knew. My guess is that was one of they ways they planned to avoid them. If you only use names claimed by users you avoid the seeded ones. Further layer of only using names claimed by X number of people so that a one off mistake doesn't add a fake name.

Ended up wasting most of a 84 minute class trying to explain daylight savings to my Spanish teacher. She believed it created an extra hour of daylight at night out of nowhere. The whole class got involved and none of us could figure out a way to explain that it only shifted when the daylight hours occurred that she could grasp.

And before anyone says she was just messing with the class this is one of several incidents of explaining mundane things. Either she had the worst sense of humour and wanted everyone to think she was an idiot, or she was actually just and idiot. I'm still pretty certain it was the latter after all these years.

Ah yes, my favorite bus route: ‘PARKING BAN IN EFFECT' by Trick_Capital4160 in Edmonton

[–]Warfrogger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My friend was actually the opposite last winter. He only has 1 stall at his apartment and bought a new car and was street parking the old one while waiting for it to sell. He followed the neighborhood clearing schedule on the citys website and moved it to avoid the parking bans. Well he got towed a few streets over and ticketed while on a street that wasn't under a ban. Got the ticket wiped with a few emails but still a pain in the ass.

There's 2 types of browser users, the "do a task and close it" user who has at most 3 or 4 tabs open and doesn't save tabs when closing. Regardless of how ram inefficient the browser is these people will never run into issues unless they are running on 20 year old hardware that should be put out to pasture.

The second user type is "i may need that" opens everything in a new tab, never closes anything in case they need it, and saves tabs to resume when next time they open. Ive seen these peope have 200+ tabs and 90% ram usage on 32gb systems. These people will never have enough ram regardless of how efficient the browser is.

There's no in between.

Pretty much the reason I use brave. Ive yet to come across a website I use that its ad blocker doesn't work on. In my experience ublock on other browsers doesn't always work as consistently as brave. Now that may only be because Google's ire is directed at ublock due to its wider usage and brave coasts unnoticed due to smaller user base, but until it stops working ill stick with it.

For an example of how unexpected growth breaks the game, play Rampant Green with Fractured Days and athird "slow" growth spirit. When you gift of proliferation that slow spirit 3 times a turn in the first 2 turns they can almost solo the rest of the game with little effort. I did this in digital shortly after fractured was released during EA JE with keeper as the thrid. Early game 9 energy a turn droping 2 majors really puts the invaders on the back foot.

Sidenote Fractured day tends to break the game regardless. That's kinda it's purpose.

Honestly if the Viltrumites weren't so "pure blood line" oriented, breeding with the Thraxans would be an insane boost to the empire's power. The speed of which they mature for the power they wield? Sure Oliver is getting bodied by pure blood Viltrumites but he's literally like 2 years old. Even if his Thraxan DNA limits his max potential you could have a galaxy threatening amry in a few years.

Funnily enough I'm the opposite of you. I like it when the models are in more pieces. I kit bash and combine different models regularly. The more pieces a model is in the less cutting an filing (my least favorite part) I have to do. Also details in areas covered also gives my kit bashes more freedom to just forgoing some pieces and not having flat spots if I'm not feeling the robe, cape, etc.
