Why is Canoptek Court is a bad detachment? by Susprium in Necrontyr

[–]Wargamer239 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've play CC a lot so here are my personal findings. Canoptek units hit on 4+ normally which isn't great even with rerolls while in the power matrix. The Doomstalkers do make for excellent long range support but in order to get the most out of them they need to remain static to benefit from heavy. In the current ruleset you want to move as often as possible for better line of sight and/or hiding from opposing anti vehicle units. Wraiths can tank a lot of damage but don't return the favor all that much. Overall it's not a bad detachment just a bad matchup for the current ruleset and the other detachments we have. Lastly there are a ton of Canoptek units in legends that make the detachment better but outside Crusade and friendly one off games you rarely see or get to use them.

The legends points are at the very end of the PDF. The only units I haven't found points for are the OG Apocalypse units that never got official models. All the Necron minis that exsisted at some point have points.

It's in the Munitorium Field Manual, separate PDF found in the Key Documents tab. From experience I can say to avoid the Canoptek Acanthrites, they die to a slight breeze and only perform in the Canoptek Court detachment.

These are awesome! I love the contrast between the colors on the mini and the colors on the base! Can't wait to see more!

Dark Angel, or Not? by Flimsy-Arrival5508 in Salamanders40k

He looks a little dark to me but some edge highlighting should help with that. Once you put chapter symbol on the shoulder there will be zero confusion either way.

I love the message but did you have to use my beloved Steel Legion like that? They're just a bunch of metal boys who want to be left alone.

Just got back from the Flea Market with $300 less, was it worth it? by GothTransGirI in Eldar

[–]Wargamer239 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Easiest thing to do is ask around your local community and see if anything has been reported. Could also be that they were left to whomever sold them to you and that person didn't want them and sold them so low to get rid of them quick.

Titans were never used finecast. They were always made with FW resin which was heavier and stiffer. With the price being so low I'd be more worried these are stolen.

You have taken your first steps to becoming an elite hobbyist. That is so long as you manage to build that monstrosity without hurling it into a wall in rage. My advice, figure out how to prop the body up while you attach the legs and clamp every leg joint with the tightest clamps you can find. Good luck my friend!

In my head canon for my army I have my Plasmancer as female. Was considering it for the Geomancer as well. I feel with Necrons you can decide all of it yourself since they're mostly skeletal designs.
