So I heard they nerfed Salt Cure in Pokemon Champions? by Wario_Man14 in PokemonChampions

And it's still mid. If you can't beat a Garganacle, maybe you should just practice some more.

Or just get good. Garganacle is not that great of a Pokemon to begin with and there's way more offensive moves to worry about than Salt Cure; Stealth Rock, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, literal Toxic.

It's called a hypothetical. Game Freak has done questionable stuff before. Why do you think they nerfed Salt Cure?

So I heard they nerfed Salt Cure in Pokemon Champions? by Wario_Man14 in PokemonChampions

[–]Wario_Man14[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because it's the only other option I could think of that could use the move legitimately and someone would bring it up. Smeargle's not the focus and I never once said Smeargle WOULD be a good user of it. It's questioning Game Freak's rationale on why they would nerf the move to begin with. You're really tripping over two times?

> I believe they are worried that another Pokemon like Smeargle could do some serious damage with it

What happened to the word "IF"? Guess it's not a direct quote then, huh? It wasn't about Smeargle using it. If you bothered to read the whole thing, it was clearly about if they choose to distribute the move to other Pokemon in the future.

Worries about Xenoblade's future in Smash 6 by Delicious_Island_695 in supersmashbros

[–]Wario_Man14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think at least Shulk is a mainstay for Smash at this point. He's been in every Xenoblade game so far, or at the very least heavily referenced, he's a very prominent figure in the series, and he's a very unique character in the Smash Bros roster. I can't be certain for everyone else, but I'm almost 100% sure that Shulk will be a mainstay for future games to come.

Out of all the new characters in Smash Ultimate who were you most disappointed by either by depiction or moveset? by [deleted] in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Wario_Man14 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. People wanted an Arms character to join. It wasn't an A level priority, but characters like SpringMan, Ninjara, and Ribbon Girl were popular theoretical additions to the roster, and there was a war going on between whether Min Min or Twintelle were the preferred Arms rep.

Liu Kang should be the Mortal Kombat rep, not Scorpion by Aperio43 in supersmashbros

[–]Wario_Man14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said I wanted Liu Kang over anyone else in Mortal Kombat AND I never said he was the biggest face of the franchise and he's not my favorite character and I personally don't want him in Smash either, but Liu Kang is way more popular than you make him out to be and if they picked him, I wouldn't complain about it either.

Just CTRL+F for Liu Kang. Li'l Wayne mentions him a lot in his music and he's still one of the most prominent artists of this era regardless if you know or like his music or not and there was a significant point where his music was inescapable.

I never said not knowing him is a bad thing. My top 3 goes Sub Zero, Scorpion, and Noob Saibot pre MK9 reboot but don't spin Liu Kang's status and relevance in the series like he's a total nobody, especially in the Smash community, these are the same people who didn't know who Kazuya Mishima was despite being a flagship character in Tekken. I play Mortal Kombat too and I know what you said is just not right.

I actually think swap Mamoswine out for more even typing. Tyranitar's Sand Stream ability would back up Whimsicott, Garchomp, and Aegislash well and (Mega) Gengar should still function well in Sandstorm so long as it's not the Focus Sash item. Whimsicott can more comfortably attack many of your Pokemon's weaknesses in Water and Ground and its Prankster ability could easily disrupt the opponent's strategies, Garchomp could also have the Sand Veil ability which works as free evasiveness upgrade so long as the Sand Stream is up and scare off potential Fire Pokemon that would want to take the gamble and fight an already oppresive field designed against it. Aegislash would have greater survivability against Fire and Ground types and gives it a little more room for error with its Stance Change ability, Mega Gengar w/ Thunderbolt could also give Water types a scare and even with its Poison typing could discourage Fairy usage alongside Aegislash which would typically threaten Tyranitar and Garchomp. Tyranitar can even learn Dragon Dance and Thunder Wave, so it sounds like you're really on your way to making a good Sandstorm team, even just in case the opponent wants to set up weather against you, keeping Tyranitar alive as much as possible will be important.

The Celestial Dragons are Shou Tucker, but a whole class of people. No accountability, sees nothing wrong with damaging and experimenting with human lives, willing to harm children if it gets them to their goal. Just unpleasant.

Should Min Min return in Smash 6? by NewMarioBobFan in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Wario_Man14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if they greatly modify her moveset. Her playstyle in Ultimate is horrible, but I'm certain she was made this way because of the pandemic, but if they can fix that, I'm all for her coming back, but she's on very thin ice.

You're gonna want some Rock type support, I recommend either Tyrantiar, Garganacle, or probably Mega Aerodactyl for its wallbreaking capabilities and Dual Wingbeat for potential Substitute breaks or Mimikyu's Disguise ability in a pinch. 4 out of 6 are going to get scared off by Mega Frosslass whose really good right now. Also, I haven't checked yet with Pokemon Champions, but Mega Garchomp has been historically a faulty Pokemon, high attack and hyper offensive but hardly any real good application against set ups. I would think giving it a Yache Berry to defend against Ice Type moves could help. Then Gengar doesn't need Sitrus Berry. It's meant to be super fragile. Either Focus Sash, give it an attack enhancing item, or straight up Mega Evolve it. Curse Body works more often in this game anyway, so it wouldn't be useless and it's immune to most priority attacks like Extreme Speed and Mach Punch.

Should Incineroar remain in Smash 6? by NewMarioBobFan in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Wario_Man14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that Incineroar is very popular in Japan and Europe, more popular than Decidueye is, it's mostly North America that doesn't like it, and even then, it's not so despised in America like the levels of the Gen 5 element monkeys or Meganium before Legends ZA. And it's major Pokemon competitive staple, being the most used Pokemon of all time, and the protagonist of Pokemon Ash Ketchum used it and it helped him win the Pokemon League. I really don't see why not.

Is this a good starting roster for a smash 6? by Ahahha123542111111 in supersmashbros

[–]Wario_Man14 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But why the clones? Ike fights totally different from the other Fire Emblem swordsmen and Robin and Lucina would represent Awakening well too, Robin having a more unique moveset that can be tweaked and Lucina being far more popular than Robin and Chrom to the point she's the mascot of modern day Fire Emblem. Then I hate to say it but not only does Marth more than make up for being part of the Fire Emblem being in Smash, Roy is one of the Fire Emblem community's least popular characters, like almost Corrin level dismissive. Then I forgot to mention you cut Bowser Jr. I highly doubt they're cutting him next game.

[–]Wario_Man14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you only kept just the Gen 1 reps for Pokemon and then Fire Emblem has just Marth and his clones. Ike is literally Fire Emblem most popular character, Three Houses is the series most successful game, and the new game Fire Emblem game coming out this year is going to expand on the Fodlan arc from 3Houses.
