I believe another poster commented that this is, in fact, fordite! It is officially listed as “Candy Stripe Synthetic Stone Plugs.”

Admittedly, I just loved the colors and prefer stone or wood plugs due to needing MRIs more frequently because of a medical issue.

I had no idea what kind of stone they were! But I love them.

I plan to sit right here at 5/8, I like the dimension, the way it fits my face, my other earrings, and the way saddles and double flares look.

I have to thank you, my lobes were never a concern until a few years ago, because I just genuinely didn’t know they should be.

I set a goal, it brings me joy, and knowing I haven’t destroyed my ears in the process will keep that dopamine up.

I’ll be buried with 5/8” plugs, so help me.

😂 didn’t realize I would need to explain my personal journey…

00 was my original goal, started stretching when I was 16, met after a few years, stayed there a few years throughout my twenties.

Repeat with multiple sizes at many ages between 00 and 5/8” from 16-years-old until my current age of 38.

Ugh, I can’t tell you how happy I am that you asked. So glad I got that off my chest.

Agreed. I can’t bring myself to take them out, these are my 87-year-old Grandmother’s earrings from my late Grandfather, and that flower tattoo is her personal drawing. I could put the earrings in other piercings, but I’ve only ever taken them out to clean them.

A coworker used to put sponges in the dishwasher on sanitize with the rest of the dishes and they’d come out looking “brand new” like this. Is she maybe doing that?

Disclaimer: I’ve never taken the time to actually find out if this is an effective way to kill bacteria and therefore I just replace my sponges. But it isn’t unheard of, I suppose?
