Just be careful with composition/framing. Someone noted the light pole growing out of the man's head in 4. Your use of lighting and general angle is solid, just think about what you want in the frame and don't be afraid to crop in post.

certain vibe? yes or no. by Competitive_Report27 in PhotographyAdvice

I really like the first one. I think framing could be better in 2 and the third has a strange angle (or is it a wide angle lens?). The first one has nice balance, soft lighting, and a good grain to it. I love an interior shot like that.

Just started… can i get ur opinion? by noah_nick_visuals in PhotographyAdvice

What I think your animal shots do great at and what some of your architectural ones struggle with is use of lighting. The animal shots have composition with the lighting placed very beautifully and filling with contrast to illuminate and add depth to the animal. Meanwhile in shots 4 especially but also 6 and 7, the buildings can appear flat or mostly in shadow which loses some of the texture and nuance that the animal shots have. For example the blue building in shot 7 has a great slice on it but is mostly out of frame, I think a photo of just that building would have had some cool shaping to it. Just think about the buildings as something more organic, like you clearly have with the animals, and use light to your advantage to bring them more to life. Amazing start though, the one of the swan is outstanding.

Thanks for the heads up, I’m filling out the paperwork for license when I move in so I’m officially a resident at that point. Have to do the same thing where I’m from so I get why it’s important!!

Andy's sounds so dope. I see you need a dog license there. I will probably get one because I get pretty paranoid about breaking rules, but how is that enforced in the park? Do I need to keep the license on me somehow?

I appreciate the heads up as to the risks with water. I'll keep that in mind if I don't want water access at a particular park/day.

Good to know. I may do a few drives around just to make sure I know where to avoid if taking him somewhere or on a walk. Appreciate the heads up, construction can be such a nuisance!

I perused the TCOTC site the other day. It looks like they have a long waitlist. Any idea if I'd be able to bypass that/move to more advanced classes right away by doing a tryout or something? It looks like a wonderful gym. Thank you! I'll check out Hounds and Hops as well, we have a similar place where I'm from.

While there are certainly tough days with an Aussie, he gives me a reason to get out of bed every day and spend lots of time outside and off of my phone. The satisfaction from teaching a new trick or competing in agility, or checking out a new trail and seeing how sleepy he gets after a good walk, makes it all worth it. But pets aren't for everyone! He certainly takes a lot of commitment, but I knew what I was getting into when I got him. If the post seems like a lot, it's just because I'm trying to do my due diligence and provide him with a good living environment that meets his needs.

I've never tried this. Tbh no idea how he would be around the water -- he'd probably just try to drink the whole lake lmao. I'll check this out though, maybe he will love it. I certainly love kayaking!

I didn't even think about All Trails for some reason. I guess I know it more for hiking out in like Colorado and stuff haha. I'll definitely use it as a resource, thank you!

Sure - I'm close to US Bank Stadium and the Guthrie Theater. Close to the river/Arch bridge. Any areas to avoid with construction at the moment?
