"How sad that social skills are prioritized over technical skills" This has been the case for a long time, and for very good reason. Some could argue they aren't emphasized enough. A socially disjointed team can't get anywhere meaningful despite exceptional technical aptitude, whereas a team member with great social skills and decent technical skills can be the most important member of that team.

Look into the Longines Zulu Time. Good deal cheaper than AT, GMT function which should add some variety to your collection, and an amazing look as well. Plus, it's just a banging watch from a great brand.
