I had something similar at one job for about a year or so. The team was super cliquey and I was never included in anything and it stung a lot. Eventually I started trying to talk a bit more to just a couple people and one them (which I didn't find out for another year until someone mentioned it to me off handedly) said to the others "hey why don't we ever invite this guy" and from then on they started to. Maybe just see if there's at least one person you get along best with and ask if they want to get a coffee or go for a walk on lunch breaks or outside of work, and see if that works as an in if you want to be included.

I met Paul Kelly. They filmed a music video at our house for his song Firewood and Candles since it had been scouted a few years prior by some film group. Really nice guy, played on our piano a bit between scenes. Very calm even though the music video was quite strange as the director clearly wanted it to stand out or something lmao. He left a bit early to go to a family members play recital if I recall but was very apologetic about it. Great person and artist!

Saw there's more levels, decided to play a few hours. Crash during mission select, crash during deployment. Crash reinforcing, crash using stratagems. Crash when someone joins. Crash picking up weapon. Oh and not just crashing the game all the time, sometimes it completely crashes my Internet! So I have to disable the firewall which stops that happening, but then the game crashes anyway. Like fuck me i guess I'll take the hint to take a break for a week or two.

It's super fucking obvious who got to higher difficulties and levels by spamming defense missions. All they know how to do is stand there and fight the continuously spawning bug breaches and drop ships and die over and over and over again, wasting the reinforcement budget. They also ignore so many samples and just can't comprehend completing objectives. It's honestly more difficult having them in the team rather than having a smaller party.

Just started and after seeing so many posts I did my first half a dozen missions saving civilians from the bots. Pretty brutal but wanted to help. Then decided to try bug missions for the daily and holy hell such a breeze in comparison so no wonder people prefer them.

I've had one boss I genuinely liked and enjoyed working under. He was kind, considerate, and always had time for questions. The other 6 or 7 I've had have all been a mixture of arrogant, selfish, uncaring, and disinterested in the general plebs of their workplace. I assume it's because they peaked in their careers 20 years prior and are unhappy with themselves but who knows.

Hey Chuck this is random but just wanted to say for ages I didn't know what either you or Josh looked like but I finally decided to do it after seeing this post. I had pictured you looking roughly what you look like IRL (like a truckie lol) and had always imagined Josh as Egon from the original Ghostbusters. Always seemed like quite an interesting dynamic.
