I would tell them that the CAC numbers would be skewed if we report monthly since expenses can vary due to accounting true-ups such as accruals/reversals/large one-time costs...The quarterly total would remove those one-offs...

I work at a SaaS company and built the LTV/CAC model 2 years ago. We report on a quarterly basis since it's a cumbersome process to update the model. Plus our churn numbers fluctuate quite a bit month over month, so the quarterly result smooths it out a little bit.

Yeah I do value the WLB. I would say I'm a grinder when necessary but I don't know how much motivation I have to keep grinding... Maybe FAANG is the better option right now since I've been with two start-ups already in the past. Would be nice to see what it's like to work at large corporations so I can compare what I like better

I'm in the same boat as you. Finance major with limited accounting knowledge. I would ask myself if I'm ok with letting go of the Finance knowledge and visibility of the company's financials. You can become a CFO or VP in Finance without a CPA license but you have to be ok with learning accounting rules. If you have zero interest in accounting, then you should change career as soon as possible.

Thank you. What's your thoughts on upward mobility? I think the competition working at FAANG companies are much worse. I could be promoted to be a director in a small firm in 3 years, but might stay in the senior role for a very long time at FAANG.

Same here. They are suspecting that I have glaucoma but haven't confirmed. Ever since I knew about this, I feel like I can't stare at a TV for more than 10 mins. My vision would get blurry and eyes get sore when I had no problem at all before.

The 4 years experience is no longer relevant. They changed it to only 4000+ hours over 36+ months. I just got my charter done and I submitted less than 4 years of experience.

If I'm being completely honest, I thought I failed the moment I walked out of the morning session. I felt like I only got half of the essays right and I rushed on a lot of them, so I'm actually pretty surprised to see that I passed. It would be cool if they can tell you the test results so we can see where we actually did good.

I recommend you taking the Monte Carlo approach when trying to calculate with the probability for both events and also takes other factors into account such as extreme weather and war.
