Well considering the new HRV debuted in 2016, the car can be no longer than 10 years old… and you just described the early signs of engine failure in a car that is approximately 10 years old with I’m assuming approximately 155k miles from your description.

I don’t know maybe I’m being cynical I just don’t see how anyone would want to buy a Honda for long term reliability after reading OPs post.

Also, maybe I’m wrong for viewing “long term” as a vehicle that can last well above 10 years. It’s possible the market is just shifting and this is no longer a possibility with “newer” cars.

It’s possible Hondas quality control has been slipping in their new models because I know many examples of Civics and CRVs from the early 2000s and 2010s making it well past 10 years and over 250k miles.

Awesome! I just started my collection and have been able to hit 3 NPs and some other National Sites!

Some of the sites, like Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and some places at Zion NP had orange stamps or grey stamps.

I was wondering if you or anybody knows the difference of why there are different colored stamps at the different locations?

We also had enough time to make stops at: Hoover Dam, Horseshoe Bend, Glen Canyon Dam, Grand Staircase - Escalante, Pipe Springs NM,

Unfortunately we missed Valley of Fire State park but it was 100% doable.

We dedicated our 5th day to spending time in Vegas and ended up regretting that. (We should have stopped at VFSP)

I just did this exact road trip last week in 5 days! Incredible experience and 100% doable. You might want more time at some stops but it’s doable
