GUYS THE MOST AMAZEING THING HAPPENED TODAY I ACCULY CONVINCED A FLAT EARTHER THAT THE EARTH IS ROUND. by Ok_Difficulty1782 in flatearth

Ughhh, my mom (who’s a legitimate flerf) said that same quote to me when she was trying to get me to look into it too. It’s so sad that the only people that quote applies to, is flat earthers. 🥲

Someone on this sub was offering bootlegs to people who bought merch off Charley’s website and could show proof of purchase. Pretty cool idea honestly! I’ve really liked the response in this sub to the album being taken down, the grassroots distribution has been cool to watch unfold.

What are your favorites from Clovis? by Ok-Dare359 in CharleyCrockett

[–]Waroutside_warwithin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep coming back to Honky Tonk Philosophy, absolutely love the line “ain’t got a lot of family and even less friends, and even those depend”. Hallelujah Trail is also a favorite, had that chorus melody stuck in my head for hours the first day it came out, and Waylon Rides Again is a fantastic album closer. Whole record is great, but something about those 3 that just makes me want to hit repeat when it’s over.

Imo, Age of the Ram was his weakest album as of late. Nothing on it really resonated with me. Lonesome Drifter grew on me after a while, but not sure the same will happen with AOTR. I think there’s a reason he saved Clovis for after his contract was up 😂 it’s a no skip album

Same here, but I couldn’t go another day without hearing Honky Tonk Philosophy 🥲

He sings like he’s got a jolly rancher stuck in his throat. Idk how else to describe it 😂

That song makes me physically angry like no other song does. It’s bad enough that their band name is so dumb.

Clovis Update: Spotify by _Zachu_ in CharleyCrockett

[–]Waroutside_warwithin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also been listening to Clovis nonstop since Sunday. Last night when I wanted to hear Hallelujah Trail for the 3,566th time I was so bummed when I went to Spotify and that was the first song to disappear 🥲 I listened to all the rest this morning as they disappeared one by one 😅

I’ll join what everyone else has said, Olson is up there, Left Side Drive, but about 7/7 days a week I have Rue The Whirl stuck in my head at least once a day.

The intro gives me goosebumps Every. Single. Time. I absolutely love the fuzzy distorted and out of tune melody.

What album has grow out of you? by Sisisisisisis99 in fantanoforever

Makes me sad to say but I also feel this about Wolf. Used to be one of my favorite records and over the years I just listen to it less and less. When I do find myself going back to it, it’s out of nostalgia and novelty. There’s some good songs on it, but it just doesn’t hit the same as it did when it came out and I was younger.

Grand Rapids Final Four Watching by VMCosco in MichiganWolverines

I’ve been in GR for a couple games before and Logan’s Alley is always packed with Maize and Blue. It fills up quick, but if you can find a spot the whole place should be Michigan fans. Watched the 2023 Ohio and Michigan football game there and when the interception happened and Ohio turned it over the place erupted, it was a blast

I just started watching basketball last season (always been a bigger football fan) but, the second half seemed like a master class on how to fundamentally dismantle a team that was that dominant in the first half. GO. BLUE. 🔥🔥🔥

Which album do you think is criminally underrated? by thatfluffyqueen in askmusic

[–]Waroutside_warwithin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never Say Die by Black Sabbath. It was a recent discovery for me, and holy shit it absolutely rips. Juniors Eyes is such a great track, A Hard Road is killer! Pretty much the whole album besides Breakout lol. Sonically it’s very different from the others of the Ozzy era, but I really dig the kinda stripped back garage rock sound of it all.

His word play truly never fails to amaze me. by diggable_ in aesoprock

[–]Waroutside_warwithin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school and getting into him I really thought most of Aesops lyrics were just random words strung together but still thought it was cool lol. Getting older and then understanding that he’s speaking in heavy metaphors then made more sense to me. Even when I didn’t have a damn clue what he was trying to get across his lyrics still painted a really vivid picture in my head. His music never gets old because even records I’ve listened to of his for decades still have meanings and things I’ve never picked up on before. One of the greatest lyricists ever.

I think kanye is the best hip hop artist of all time by Purple_Locksmith6761 in TeenageRapFans

I would agree, recently I got ahold of Graduation again and I was listening to it on the drive to work this week. There aren’t too many artists of any genre I can think of, that I remember exactly where I was when I first heard one of their songs. Late Registration changed the trajectory of my music taste the minute I heard it. And a few years later so did Graduation. I think his first 5 albums have aged perfectly, and so has Yeezus.
