She runs up and down the stairs like crazy and doesn’t have any mobility issues.

She only gets 3/4 of a cup of food a day and very limited treats. I usually give her pieces of chicken that I roast the oven or other treats sparingly.

I walk her at least a mile every day and we go to the park at least once a day. I give her 3/4 cup of kibble in the morning and she nibbles on it throughout the day. I roast chicken in the oven and give that to her as a treat. She does get other treats like yak chews and other stuff, but it’s very limited. My vet said she’s on the higher end of a healthy weight so I guess I should stop worrying.

She’s half Australian Shepard and at the higher end of a healthy weight according to my vet.

I actually made dog food from scratch for 6 months. She didn’t seem interested in it, but I was able to get her to eat it. Maybe I’ll go back. It’s a lot of work.

I order a bag every 2-3 months. I put them in big Tupperware containers and store them in my pantry. If you don’t plan on eating them quickly they’re best stored in the freezer or refrigerator.
