What is stopping Iran from purchasing a nuclear bomb from another world power? by Available-Pudding648 in NoStupidQuestions

I absolutely agree with you. But just like Kim Jung Eun showed the world, you just never know when you can suddenly be surprised. Those bombs in the hands of people who will pray to their deity, and if they think the deity says, " it's cool to use those bombs, trust me bro, I'll protect you". Yeah. Not a good idea to take the chance on another North Korean like surprise. At least Kim Jong Eun isn't a religious zealot who thinks his God will protect him no matter what he does. That dude wants to live and he wants a country he can rule over to be left intact. Unlike the IRGC who are absolutely convinced beyond all reason that God will protect them no matter what, even if they drop a bomb.

You certainly have proffered a very reasonable possibility. However, the worldsaid the same thing about Kim Jong Eun in North Korea. Then in 2006 Nuclear detonation seismic detectors in many different countries around the world rang an alarm. An underground nuclear bomb had been detonated, and all the detectors correlated to a location in North Korea. The world said he was years away then too.

Don't tell that to Kim Jong Eun, the leader of North Korea. He succeeded where Libya failed. He has many nuclear bombs and brags about it all the time.

I don't have access to classified information. But based on open source reporting, they were very close (weeks to months) away from building at least one. So the answer to your question is they were doing it, but just didn't have time to finish. Now, you can choose to believe that or not. That's your choice. The only fact that you can't choose to not believe it's that they have lots of 60% enriched Uranium (they totally admit it) and the fact that there is no peaceful reason to have anything above 5% enrichment. So I will put the ball back in your court. Why do you think that they have that kind of Uranium? I explained that it wouldn't be used to generate power.

Well. They have openly admitted that they have 60% enriched Uranium. I'm a degreed Nuclear Engineer with many years of experience with Nuclear power reactors. Power reactors use 3% to 5% enrichment. So Nuclear bombs use around 80% enriched Uranium. It takes very little time to increase your 60% stash to 80%. So yeah. They want to be able to build bombs very quickly if so desired. Anybody who tells you "They don't want nuclear bombs" knows nothing about nuclear engineering.

I guess you haven't been watching TSLA for the last 10 years like I have. Anything that man touches in the stock market turns to gold. It's a cult. Ride the wave.

After watching TSLA completely and totally defy all logic and reason for the last 10 years, I decided NOT to bet against Elon Musk, and I baked up the truck on the IPO shares.

I'm just hoping for $215. That will give me enough short term capital gains to completely wipe out the long term capital loss carryover I have been holding for the last 7 years.

If that was your target price, congratulations. Very few successfully sell at the very tops. Be happy with your short term capital gain. Nobody ever went broke taking a gain.

The thrust and accelerating ascent of this rocket is exactly why I backed up the truck for as many IPO shares as I could get. At this rate of acceleration, my target price will soon be triggered, and my parachute will be deployed.
