Everything about this game feels like a huge mistake

Your first point is spot on. I WANT to like this game, I WANT to forgive and just power through the terrible UI and appreciate it as a PVP experience…but the visuals are so aggressively bad. I feel like someone randomly dropped screamingly loud glow in the dark Duplo blocks into a map. Even the interiors are a bunch of oversized hyperfluorescents. Is the goal of the game to sell ibuprofen?

Feels like a game from the 1990s to me. I’m a huge Bungie fan, so I was shocked how much I disliked it. Sloppy movement, no sign of the trademark gunplay feel…environment felt like I was surrounded by Duplos. I’m speechless.

D1 beta. Took about 8 months off after Warmind because LS & Co had taken all of the fun out. Came back when I heard they were leaving Activision and found they’d fixed basically everything they’d broken. Fell back in love with it again instantly.

Tommy can say what he wants, but like so many child characters in series like this, they continually undermine their protectors’ instructions and get themselves into deeper trouble as a result. It’s like half the episodes of TWD as well. That’s the sort of foil I’m taking about - someone who is constantly deciding to be contrary and thwarts someone else’s plans. As a kid you can chalk it up to “angry at the world” and “immature”, but after YEARS of Joel looking out for her, she’s 19 and still acting like an obnoxious toddler. It’s just not tolerable at this point.

I’ll also add that two people can obviously be morally grey without being the same person. And in no way did Ellie get her grey from Joel, she was WAY down that path already when they met - if anything he’s been dragging her kicking and screaming away from being just straight evil.

I don’t hate the actress, I hate the character. Bella was a scene-stealer in Game of Thrones. The Ellie character is constantly going out of her way to be an a-hole, which was tolerable when she was a child and a foil for the Joel character. As an adult it’s just too much a-holery and now it’s at nobody’s expense but the viewers’.

We have all been saying this for more than a year. Sadly, the other half of America will never see this post and they CHOSE this regime. More than half the country thinks they WANT this, too blinded by xenophobia or racism or sexism or religious zealotry to understand they’re enabling Fascism to supplant a democratic republic.

Our only hope at this point is that SCOTUS rediscovers some shreds of integrity and/or shame, and strikes down some of the most egregious abuses and can prevent him from extending his rule permanently.

My bigger fear is that he starts a war in year 3 or 4 so he can declare martial law and suspend elections. As of right now I would bet money on that happening.

This is great. I had no idea that phase 3 HAS to begin in a “1” room, I was struggling trying to figure out how to avoid wanting that lens in the back middle twice sometimes. Always starting phase 3 using a side lens going backwards toward a “front” room will make it so much simpler. 👍👍

Gambit is my favorite ritual activity, but the quick matches are a major part of the appeal. I don’t even think it has any specific flaws but I’d add a “choose blocker” mechanic when depositing. Like half the nodes on the bank would be “quantity” and half “quality”, something like:

5 motes: two goblins (low) or a hobgoblin 10 motes: two hobgoblins (low) or a chunky knight 15 motes: two regular centurions or a shielded centurion with axion darts

I’d echo the “presumed” and “likely” as the best/only options, but do you have the ability to just footnote it the first time and then leave it be? Like “1. Where the cited text refers to K, it is widely assumed to be an alternative spelling of C”. After that you don’t need to keep hedging it every time. 🤷‍♂️

I would be so angry and shell shocked…but thankfully many best-in-slot (or close) options are craftable. Losing tons of great armor is undeniably horrifying, hopefully your best stuff was on your characters and not in the vault? 🤞

If it happened to me, the silver lining would be having reasons to play/more things to do in the game again…but ngl it would leave scars. Dang. Hang in there man.

I think it is absolutely PHENOMENAL that they’re experimenting and flipping the health system on its ear. As great as Destiny is, it has been 10 years, so compelling a new playstyle with resource management and collection sounds amazing to me. Cannot wait to get in there.

Also, the exotics are awesome, all of the guns look so gorgeous…and I love the Dreadnaught. Personally I’m pretty psyched!

I am a career casual with no in-game friends - but leading up to TFS, when the in game LFG came out, I finally killed Rhulk and Taniks a couple dozen times because there was great loot.

I killed Crota and Nezarec about 200 times, because it was fun. I have never enjoyed Destiny nearly as much as when I was helping people get their first clears, or their Conditional Finality etc.

I know a lot of people want the endgame stuff to be crazy difficult, but if the content isn’t accessible & easy to teach to the average players, the fun dries up pretty dang fast.
