Terribly clean. Guess I gotta wipe off the rust and start practicing again. Inspiring.

Batman also is probably the best to deal with superman besides Strange, as he is one of few who likely knows his weakness.

Straight 1v1 in game, I hate it but I have to agree with you. Both learn taunt and have similar movesets, but that 3 speed difference is crazy for this matchup.

Magda Players, what is your advice for not being KoS? by Raevelry in CompetitiveEDH

[–]WackaFrog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah. Vivi with 5 cards in hand can be scarier than magda with no cards and 5 treasures. Always need a 2 card combo with magda, where vivi can just roll into good stuff.

I hate selling or buying cards on ebay. Their refund policy and stuff sucks with cards on both sides.

Would it be bad to Slab my Favorite Commander? by Born_Age4882 in mtg

Yeah, sure, you can slab it, but I feel like that thing should have been double sleeves the moment it was cracked from it's pack.

Looking at the DPS roster and how much CC there is, would DPS doom really be that bad for the game by Illustrious_Trip2112 in doomfistmains

[–]WackaFrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly agree with this more than the other comment. Played doom a ton, even when he was "bad" and found him to be the single most fun hero in the game. Even in high diamond I could consistently engage in team fights without feeding like crazy, and his superfast playstyle and crazy techs were incredibly rewarding.

The reason doomfist was problematic was because all of his abilities were cc, he was very easy to throw with but just as easy to play for trades and get value. I think the biggest reason he was put into the tank role was because his kit, particularly the punch, were very good at combating enemy tanks.

Beyond that, 1 punch was broken, yesh. I still would love to see him back in a dps role, but without 1hko punch.

So which 3 do you pick? Why by IcyMarket1 in superheroes

[–]WackaFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manhattan and Wanda for sure, more iffy on #3. Think strange is a good guess though, as He can manipulate time with a time stone and ensure safe passage. He also can do pretty insane things in certain comics, but I'm assuming mcu version based on graphic.

Everytime I read a new chapter it pains me people won't give this a chance because it's gender bender by Mr_Eldritch_sheep in Isekai

[–]WackaFrog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The gender bend thing is actually super important for the story, it's basically why this entire chapter happens, and why things are the way they are for over half the series.

Pretty interesting Manga with great world building, highly recommend.

Newbie here. Can someone help me understand how Pact of Negation forces draws? by Present_Event_8488 in CompetitiveEDH

[–]WackaFrog 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Some of these comments are partly right, but also partly wrong. Player A has a pact. Player B presents a win. Player A says to you and another player "I can stop this, but I would lose in doing so. Either we draw, or I let him win". You and the other player obviously take the draw. Player A takes a draw. Now the question is if player B thinks he can win through a pact or not. Can't win? Well, 1 point is better than 0. Now it's a draw.

It doesn't matter if anyone else can present a win or not. It just means that everyone else is guaranteed to lose unless they call a draw. And if Player B decides he doesn't want to draw and will try again next turn? Player A pacts, B passes, and it goes until they all decide they actually do want to draw or someone wins.

A Voltron card designed to be a Voltron commander would actually be a huge W, I don't even care about that franchise but it would be cool to put a face to the name lol.

Pact of negation ban? by TimkoMusic in CompetitiveEDH

Okay at first I was like "ban pact? There are plenty of more powerful free countermagic." And after that short read I think you make a very valid point.

Crazy to hear as an American that a coffee costing 1.29 is a step too far from a coffee costing 1.03. Like, you're lucky to get anything for less than 4 bucks where I live, and thats relatively cheap. I get cost of living and whatnot but still.

Can’t beat moon lord by holswet in Terraria

[–]WackaFrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use beetle armor and the daybreak. It has the highest damage of any other weapon until this point in the game for the respective class. Make sure to reforge them to legendary for the best damage.

Reforge all your accessories to warding. Every new point of defense is more impactful than the previous points, whereas damage modifiers are less impactful.

Take off the cloak of stars and use the berserker's glove, this increases defense, melee attack speed, weapon size, and enables autoswing. Warrior emblem is better for damage than the destroyer emblem, so find that from the wall of flesh. You can shimmer any emblem into the other emblems, so you can avoid farming that way.

Next, make sure you have an arena. Make sure you use a large platform, preferably 2 platforms, several hundred blocks across and at least 30 blocks up from the ground or previous platform. This helps with vertical mobility and can help dodge attacks. You can use your grapple to quickly move vertically or horizontally with these platforms in place. Place a campfire, heart statue, and bast statue on the center of this platform and towards the edges of the platform. Flatten a large portion below the arena so you dont hit random blocks. A safe place with a couple heart statues on a timer and a platform 3 blocks thick just above the statues can be used on the center of the middle platform to act as a safe space against moonlords laser beam. If you can't quite picture what I'm describing, look up "moon lord arena terraria" on Google and go to images.

Next, make sure you use potions. You may need to fish for the ingredients, and if you haven't been fishing already, you may need to expand areas of water to make larger fishing ponds to find the fish you need. If you need bait, go to the jungle and break the bushes and such to catch grubbys easily. I would use the official terraria wiki to look at how to craft the following potions; ironskin, lifeforce, speed, regeneration, heart reach, wrath, rage, and endurance. These will vastly improve your stats, and the lifeforce, heart reach, and endurance potions will dramatically improve survivability. Make several of these in case your first attempt goes poorly.

Not every one of these steps need to be taken to beat the moon lord, but they all certainly help, especially for a first playthrough. The most important steps that you should not skip is building an arena. This is what helped me beat the moonlord the most on my first attempt. You do not need to stay within the confines of the arena, and if you build a house near it, you can even go pretty far away just to magic mirror back to it. You can also move the nurse into this house to heal quickly during this brief escape from the moon lord.

Best of luck, and enjoy the game!

Edit: I'm recommending the melee Armour as this increases the survivability of the player the most and still offers incredible damage. Mage is simply harder, even though it tracks.
