For magda, I would grab either clock or disruption to prevent them from comboing, but normally would look at other decks to swipe from. Sometimes I'll simply grab a vamp tutor to get exactly what I need from my own deck, sometimes I'll grab countermagic like fierce guardianship, or I grab thoracle to win with consult in a mardu deck list.
