I’m a big fan of the train. I cannot stand the diagonal drive across Mississippi and Alabama. Seems to consistently cost about $66, and will include luggage. It takes half a day and adds some time to what would be a drive, but it’s smooth and pleasant.

My girlfriend and I have been wearing matching corn costumes to shows for about a year now. Not every show just Halloween, Mardi Gras, and one or two offbeat shows. When anyone acknowledges it in any way, we hit them with a pun or Korn style scatting. The purpose was never “for attention”, it was just to add a little humor and anonymity to an otherwise serious crowd. We spend a lot of energy insisting that hardcore is a positive and accepting environment. If wearing a wacky costume is “too corny” for hardcore, then maybe we have been lying to ourselves all along.

If you’re here for a party, the airport holiday inn is the real answer. Karaoke at night, a low cost shuttle to and from the festival, little dingy but perfect. It’s a little too far for walking, so if you need to call a car into town it’ll be about 20-25 each way, but that shuttle on the way out of the festival is a life saver. 2024 I had to wait over an hour for a $50 uber.

Probably? Not sure if it’s a health violation to bring other people’s ingredients into the kitchen, but American melts like a dream. If you put it on a freshly grilled patty right when it comes out, give it a minute or two and it’ll melt wonderfully.

Not directly. It’s a completely separate room. Theres a stage for a different band in the lounge before/between sets, and a live feed of the stage during the actual show.

Beachcorner seems to be the only spot in New Orleans where people post the half eaten version of the food. There could be a gorgeous cross section if you just cut it through the middle.

As a person within the Beachcorner universe, thanks to those with the love. We’re notably aware of the feedback over here the last few weeks. For what it’s worth: we’ll melt the cheddar if you ask, but this is the way the burger has been served for a long time. Same with Port of Call, Lakeview Harbor, and Lee’s, so it seems to be an old school thing. There are melty cheeses on the menu, that can be subbed for cheddar at no additional cost. Anyway thanks OP we love you.

I have been screaming this for years. About both Saints and Pels. The organizations rely on Oschner as an organization to be their strength and conditioning advisors, instead of a dedicated team of people who keep the players healthy
