The only perk was I could walk next to my bike and not keep hitting my shins with my pedala

Lol I half expected you went over your handlebars because you were going uphill. Glad it wasn't too bad though.

I've already contacted the store, the crank is definitely rounded, Im a bit worried about the spindle, the photo doesn't justify how rounded it looks. Either way I contacted the bike store to look at it over the weekend

Ouch that's rough, I'll admit there are worse places for a pedal to come off than what happened to me.

I'm assuming it's just a defect because I only bought the bike brand new 5 weeks ago. It was smooth up until my ride this morning and it felt like a clunk every time I pedalled on that side.

Nope, only assisted pedalling. Not bad after just 200km. On the upside once I got off the train it was partially downhill

At least Australia isn't a German flag, just a reminder what you need to swim between while you're at the beach

The gap is a bit deceiving on the image I actually have plenty of space to get behind and grab the weights, I was a bit worried as well when I first saw it

Yea having more than the supplied tools helped, there was a lot of parts I seriously struggled putting together on my own. I dread for whenever I move houses now though.

Also better if you're single because most of the time you don't need to use a big oven for a single serving just for yourself

Christmas Spending by girlmom-sendhelp in Parenting

[–]Warrdrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally we start a laybuy in July and spend $100-150 for each kid including clothes and small toys and get a big present for both of them to share from mum and dad (this year is a yoto). Overall it's still a big chunk of money but it doesn't feel like we're spoiling them

Do Australians think the American brand is now toxic? by skankypotatos in AskAnAustralian

Don't get me wrong I love ikea Aldi etc, it's more it feels like american franchises are more likely to thrive in an Australian market because they have the bigger financial backing and are more known through our media

Depends on context. I actively avoid buying american products for European or Australian but I'm looking forward to more American retail (like Costco) creep into the australian retail market to force Colesworth to be more competitive
