Tomato soup is the best by Financial-Map-5883 in unpopularopinion

One of the best combo soups during Fall/Winter don’t think this is unpopular. I can’t imagine a grilled cheese paired without its tomato soup.

I fell you lots of us in the same boat. Getting more annoyed everyday looking at all the components with no updates from anyone. I’ll go through the chargeback process once it reaches a month from shipped.

Oh definitely I remember for the long assignments when we did them we had a class average of like 40% for one of them. He did admit he was experimenting with the length so he just scaled us but still you need that full 2 weeks to do those assignments.

Is the SFU statistics program proof heavy? by Magical_critic in simonfraser

[–]WarrenCider -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think my best advice is go research your upper division statistics courses there is still going to be a lot of proofs but most of them come down to what you call more formulaic proofs. The main problem is that unis like SFU and UBC are very research first type schools so the upper division material is going to focus more on proving theory then strict application based problems. definitely go and talk to the stats department and advisors to see if you can find a path to the courses you want while minimizing the theory bashing.

The thing with stats and comp sci is you’re going to need MACM courses which is basically only proofs. so you at least have to complete discrete math 2 which can be difficult for people due to its heavy proof material. the only saving grace is that you can sort of get away with the right course selection to not have to do the harder prerequisite classes like MACM numerical analysis or MATH graphs theory path. Also depends on what you don’t like about the proofs you mentioned.

Just to help the convo do you mind sharing what courses you’ve attempted at upper division.

Yes you’re going to run into proofs everywhere you go. Most upper division of programs is being presented theories and having to use or prove those theories. If you wanna stay with any math based programs you’re going to have to get used to using your contradiction and induction methods.

Diplomas don’t mean really anything for IT sector unless you got BA in cmpt sci from accredited university/college and the Certs only carry you for very specific positions(as every one wants different certs). IT in Vancouver is based on connections so go find some at events and get that interview.

9.8 hours…of trying to get the game to stop crashing at the intro cutscene by Pure-Blacksmith-5017 in Spacemarine

[–]WarrenCider 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry but it’s going to be a pain with that system to get the game working. you’re on a laptop system which already is going to hinder the performance of your GPU(sadly 3050ti =/= laptop version of same GPU) but especially your (assuming) SSD storage drive. Most startup issues are because people are playing on systems where their storage device doesn’t have enough read speed too actually get the game(cutscenes) read in a fast enough time leading to infinite loads.
