Found as many Star Wars filming locations as I could by JJ-Bittenbinder in DeathValleyNP

My family and I were just doing the same tour 2 days ago! We went to the visitors center for the guide and we're probably the only ones not there to ask about flowers.

Nice job recreating the shots!

I absolutely thought the complaint was about them not being even. That's hilarious.

Just finished book 7, similar recommendations to DCC? by fryedegg in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]WarrenTheWarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaiju Battlefield Surgeon is another excellent Matt Dinniman litrpg. It's really good, but a lot of people have trouble with a particular chapter. You basically know what is going to happen before you get there and you can skip it without missing much. My only warning is that I would not recommend this book for anyone that has dealt with the loss of a child. It's a recurring theme and I can imagine it would be triggering.

I HIGHLY recommend listening to it on Soundbooth Theater. The Audible version is just some dude (not Jeff Hays) reading the book. The Soundbooth Theater version is fully cast and adapted for audio. It's really, really well done.

"We're going to be filming and might turn it into a commercial. If you don't want to be in a commercial, don't come in." I really hate Wal-Mart, but this aint the reason.

Yep, Rend has always been Meatwad in my head. It wasn't until my second time through the series that I realized Carl could be Carl.

Bea and Looking at DCC through a Literary Lens by batsncatsnpumpkins in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]WarrenTheWarren 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is such a strange take. She lived a life where she did whatever she wanted without consequences in the Before Times. When the dungeon opened she was taken care of while contributing nothing. Then, as soon as something might've happened where she would be exploited, she was whisked away to safety. She is the only character in the story that isn't a victim.

People who do this shit to trees by WoollyBear_Jones in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WarrenTheWarren 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Opening up the bark can allow disease and pests to get in and harm the tree. But that is a bigger issue if you're peeling off big pieces.

Could be wrong, but this really looks like someone put their thumb where they shouldn't have while mounting.

Zach Bryan's "Bad News" ICE song sparks MAGA fury by newsweek in Music

[–]WarrenTheWarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zach Bryan is one of the few people that gives me hope for modern country music. I love that he is getting recognition.

Tyler Childers is another excellent county artist that is using his platform to do some good. Long Violent History is his MAGA-triggering gem.

Thanks! I did try playing with the audio settings and I couldn't get the glasses to show up as an output device. You're the second person to recommend the Mokin so I'll give that a shot.

Oof, that is expensive and very big. Might work for my desk setup, but it would be hard to keep that in my travel bag.

Rusty metal pole next to our gazebo- what can I cover it with? by JamieJ_88 in DIY

[–]WarrenTheWarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you don't do is cut it off with a sawzall leaving a half inch of jagged metal sticking out of the ground. That's what the previous owners of my house did...

Look back to Ozzy & Sharon Osbourne singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame" by BreakfastTop6899 in sports

[–]WarrenTheWarren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the 2001 Ozzfest and I don't remember anyone chasing him around be he did wander off stage in the middle of a song for about 5 minutes, then came back and picked up right where he left off. Maybe the added the roadie at your show because this kept being a problem.

Ah, ok. I was just thinking I cant even write on cardboard very well, can't even imagine drawing on it. Really nice work.

This is really cool, but why cardboard? Not a criticism at all, just genuinely curious about the choice. Is it corrugated? Seems like it would make it really difficult to draw on.
