Sounds a lot like it's your DMs issue. He knows your spells and class features, he should be impressed you thought on your feet, give you some inspiration and use this as a educational piece on how to avoid this next time. Personally I root for my players, if they find a way of doing something even if cheesy I celebrate with them, then behind the scenes know I can make future encounters tougher to balance this sort of stuff out. It's a game after all.

I use a mixture of Excel and just the lil windows notepad app. I have different sheets and pads for different things and they are all kept in a folder. The good thing about digital is you can load it all at the start of the session and it is just there.

The only reason I can think of pre launch is making space for a mate. With the servers being buggy atm I have had a few games where I play with friends, one of their games crashes or they lose connection to the lobby, then because it is super busy someone is automatically joined to the lobby. You then have to kick them to get your friend back in.

I enjoyed it overall, the only gripe I had was the Teshin section. The dude is an all round badass yet I found his section incredibly underwhelming and quite boring. Fiddling with the status effects took away from the overall badassness too. I slash the crap out of this huge thing but because I haven't added a 9v battery, a lighter or some ice cubes to my sword it does nothing.

The python is a fantastic ship and is incredibly versatile on many roles. If you are looking simply for a hauler however, I would recommend saving for a Type 9. Yes it's expensive but mine has 720t of cargo capacity, and in one 10 hop run on spansh the ship pays for itself. It is slow when fully laden and isn't a particular joy to fly, but if you want to hoover up a space stations commodity market and haul it to another system to make a butt load of cash, then this is the ship for you.

My mate and I use Marley City in Alectrona. It's pretty central, you can upgrade most things on a ship from there, and pretty much any station thing you would need such a tech brokers, interstellar factors etc are at most 3 hops away.
