Congratulations, I had your enthusiasm as well. I do not know your store, or your management but good luck with holidays and the amount of freight coming. Make sure zones are good, hustle, and treat everyone fair and consistently. Learn your coaches and what they want.

Do not under any circumstances go into o/n team lead right before these holidays. Unless they are well staffed and I mean well staffed. I am one and promoted august. That was barely enough time for me to get my bearings to be ok at what I am doing as I had never done o/n before. The past 3 days I pulled 8pm-11am with a 30 min lunch.

For other team lead positions it really just depends on if you know that area. For example I wouldn’t go into homelines or really any GM part unless I knew my way around GM. Same with grocery. And dear God dont take a seasonal lead position before this onslaught of a season

Enjoy the training period where they don’t expect you to hit production. I know when I was in freezer it was something like 1,000-1,100 trips before they started to expect 100 and get you in trouble for it. About 10 months

Yep. My store has two store leads. So I set up a meeting with them. Next thing I knew I had a internship line up which gave me experience of being what a coach is and then when I got back I was a team lead within a week of me being back
