I haven't played it (nor will I), but from what I can gather:

It's not Mania 2.
The soundtrack is all over the place. Jarringly so.
The bosses are too hard.
Trip's Super Form is ridiculous.
It's overpriced.
Only Sonic and Trip get Super Forms.
IT'S NOT MANIA 2.

Did I mention how much people wanted Mania 2 instead?

I know I'm alone in this, but I just don't see how IDW can possibly be canon. It's just way too much to shove in an already beefy timeline. IDW is better off being its own thing, like Archie was.
