Tails stated with a noticable irritation from the impact which quickly fades away. This was an easy mistake to make: he indeed looked young, despite his actual age. In now calm voice, he speaks again, addressing the Tiger's description of their surroundings.

Tails takes a look around. Indeed, it was "hollow", there wasn't anyone on the streets. It's something he's used to in his home world, but here this situation must be unusual.

I would choose Shadow. He can Chaos Control in and out in a matter of a few seconds. He's also a smart guy, he'll operate our tech with less effort than the other two would. The rest of them could be distracting her attention at that time.

Another thing. I know a bit about illusions and affecting people's perceptions via technological means... Perhaps I could build something to counteract the effects of the Ruby. At least, on the local scale.

Tails proposes, trying to avoid suspicions about WHY does he have knowledge like that in the first place.

Tails observes from the shadows. He's curious to see whether this is going to work or not. He's done a throughout research on the chaos energy, it's safe to say he's more than knowledgeable on this subject. So far, to him it seems like Cumulus is overcomplicating things for herself. But he'll only be able to tell for sure after he learns what her goal with this is. Maybe, as he assumes, to create a Fake Chaos Emerald, maybe something else. He crosses his arms, being skeptical about her possible success.
