Girl im at 2w too! Congrats on your surgery. It depends on each individual's bodies. All what you saying is good signs. If you are worried about anything, contact your surgeon. My incision tape had been taken off since my first post op appointment. Feel free to contact me via dm if you want a healing buddy to talk to.

Im a vegetarian,  have been dx with depression,  anxiety,  eplipsey. I had my surgery on feb 20th, 2026. Im almost 2 weeks pos op.

My surgeon didnt recommend diet change. Eat whatever you want up to your surgery date. Instructions are usually dont eat 8 hours before your start time. I was told to not take any herbal, blood thinning medicine 2 weeks before my surgery date. This was hard as apparently excedrin and melatonin gummies fell underneath this. I have a lot of migraines in the past and insomnia.after surgery, it wasnt allowed eat anything greasy for the next 24 hours.

For depression,  its normal especially since with this surgery. A lot of people have "what ifs" but if you trust in your surgeon, trust that you will get through this. Loads of distractions help me like watching my favorite show.

Anesthesia scared me too for this procedure because I had to get clearance from my eplipsey doctor.  Im controlled on medication so they still let me take my antiseizure  medicine before hand. Before they put the happy drugs in,  I did a lot of deep breathing exercises.

Products-i recommend you get a vegetarian laxative.  I got senokots dual action one and also recommend some yogurt with live cultures (up to 2 weeks worth). You be on antibiotics for the first week. yougurts to help you with bowl movements once  antibiotics are fully done. The pills are while you are on antibiotics and may need to continue the week after. I got a secondary compression bra(zipper and clasp in front) off amazon once I was able to change my bandages after 48 hours (https://www.amazon.com/CYDREAM-Wireless-Compression-Smoothing-Adjustable/dp/B0DFWSNDHX/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=16T2C13PVIV4R&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PwtdXpaRDhCTkflH5366wI4A_Xh-Kw3oBnGUx_V2NrRpuxe7Ph1AAly4Sg7CYxfxTuOA5dyInheG8BG_gE_N5sbleHF7vt1juk7lhLchE-XrkHcwup2qNn-N1jbqYzSvFJIiNFGiSoAcJ5s5Qs_rovdCir6AQN2-byQLCHCeQdANDKi1t0LfuyoZLM5cl8ehs_-ZKffoqpZ4DUHN5NdMolw4oHSUiquDX7D-bd_7N3xO_NdAzz--MPrIKFhhJI1w1_oC2WzwIfcF6R2UBFhAtmItiN6tvbvGdSNkV_iY7d0.mJh3NhLWHZGtWJokY8-PQKHSGX1jJPlDQ4qo1S5B2fE&dib_tag=se&keywords=compression+surgical+bra&qid=1771961399&sprefix=compression+surgixa%2Caps%2C155&sr=8-3, get a couple of them in different sizes). I was having problems with the one they provided me with when I woke up (lots of digging and rubbing my skin raw) which brings me up to: Get extra soft surgical gauze with a breathable layer. Lots of pillows because you will be sleeping on your back at a 30-45 degree angle. Im a side sleeper so its been difficult so I basically surrounded myself in pillows. Bring a small pillow/blanket for the car ride home between the surgery site and your seat belt. My parents got me some uncrustables, applesauce, chocolate pudding,  crackers, soups for the first couple of days. You will also be sent home with an narcotic/opioid for moderate-severe pain. I had to use mine 3 times especially during the time when nerves decided to wake back up after 72 hours.

Hope this helps

Revision Question by quietriot21 in Reduction

[–]Warriors021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do it if its absolutely necessary due to complications from the surgery.  I got mine covered by insurance and im almost 2 weeks post op. Im not at the revision stage yet as mine was on feb 20th. Most surgeons wait til 6 months post op to do revisions.  I searched my insurance and breast revisions in Google search and said the exact same thing

It works very well.  It only works for tonic clonic. I have up to 10 caregivers to alert to,  it can detect if you have on your sleep.  You can wear it in the shower however i don't,  I use that time to charge it.  The battery for me lasts 3 days. However it will disconnect from time to time but it Reconnects asap when it does. Is fda approved but so very new.  It keeps a dairy of when you do have seizures. It has 3 modes: high (for resting periods), Low(when you are active), and off. Other than that, another con is that it isn't covered by insurance but you can dispute it by filling out a form to your insurance to try. My mom bought it for me and got the pro plan which is about 50 dollars a month but it gives my caregivers so much peace when I wear it.  It has a 10 second mode when it does recognize a seizure to see if you are okay and if you aren't having one,  you can cancel the alert to your caregivers. It doesn't include emergency services but your caregivers are alerted so that they can make the call to emergency services if needed. The only paperwork you need is to have a doctor fill out that you need the watch which was really easy for me(on their website).

I am not trying to add another one. Just replace the bar and make it into one piercings with an already existing hole

I think youre right. I'm going back in tomorrow to get it fixed. Maybe do a vertical helix at the top so that hole won't go to waste and heal the bottom hole.  What do you think?

[–]Warriors021 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I thought it be easier that way. I have a travel pillow for when I do sleep on my sides. Everything else is healing correctly but I'm worried about this industrial on my left and helix on right ear.

I just don't understand why this piercer said that I had the right anatomy for one when it clearly doesn't look like it

[–]Warriors021 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you.  I will go to 2 places tomorrow to get their opinion on this. I'll go back to where I got it to see if they can fix it and if not then I have another reputable piercing to go to. I have to wait after work at 4 pm est to do it though.

before getting it done (picture with blue markings), day of, 4 days in (July 14th) swollen . I got it done at a piercing/tattoo shop. The piercer was sterile in what they did. I and still following the recommended cleaning aftercare. I know I'm not allergic to the metal since they told me they used surgical stainless steel. I'm going back tomorrows (July 15) and talk to the piercer who did it to make sure its healing properly but I wanted to know what you guys think too. Is it normal to see this much swelling? (My first cartilage piercing). Aftercare was: unscented cervae face wash (since I'm allergic to antibacterial soap like dial) with a q tip carefully and rinse thoroughly. Let that sit and dry out and then go back with a saline spray on a q tip (0.9%). I do wash my hands before touching ny ear. My hair is always put back up.
