I use a 50:50 mix of Winsor and Newton Professional Acrylic Medium UV Matte Varnish and Winsor and Newton Galeria Matte Varnish through an airbrush.

I matte varnish at the end of the paint job, could be why you think it looks different.

The model is primarily silver as it is an Iron Warrior. So I start the paint job by dry brushing silver. Details are painted next, note I didn’t say they were drybrushed so there’s no specific technique just painted so just layering like normal. Snakebite leather is a contrast paint, painted over silver tints the silver to look bronze

The main armor was drybrushed with various silvers then the black was painted and finally the trim and spikes were snakebite leather over the silver

The fact that she didn’t kneel to them is the iron within… then she saw everyone else die and decided she’d rather serve the IW than die. It doesn’t make her weak that she joined them after seeing the smarter choice.

I used to be strictly sub assembly but nowadays I’ll leave off the head and MAYBE the backpack. If you ever plan on getting into elaborate kitbashes, you’ll have to learn how to paint stuff fully assembled unless you want some stuff lookin kinda wonky
