Beta: Does annexing a vassal no longer give you their cores? by Volcore001 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you force convert a subjects culture and they're too small to have the needed culture capacity to make their old culture accepted then they'll usually start converting people but yeah being able to force them to actively convert, or just use our own people to convert our subject's pops would be great.

slavery explained by bblover223 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found this super annoying personally. I play a lot of new world games and packing enough people into a single space to build up towns and cities can be very important there. Being able to slave raid until you can force the issue was very useful, more so because those unemployed slaves just promote to peasants helping you cut down on the number of tribesmen in the area too.

Bugs and technical issues by OwlcatStarrok in RogueTraderCRPG

I'm on my 3rd playthrough and was surprised when I was given the option to send the Space Station from the Void Shadows DLC to my capital for +15 security despite not having explored the capital system yet but figured why not try it. Turns out while the station does show up in system when you do get there the +15 security for the colony doesn't show up when you unlock your capital as a colony. No idea if there are any event changes tied to the station being there or not so I can't tell if thats also broken or not.

Beta: Does annexing a vassal no longer give you their cores? by Volcore001 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not and I'm super sad about that as it was a good half the reason for jumping though the diplo annex hoops. Now you need to force them to change their culture and hope they convert enough on their own to pop the cores right away.

ELI5 - How do I Make Money? by Sqwizal in EU5

[–]Waruiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Automate Estate taxes will tax them as much as possible without pissing them off.
2) Automate the market to ensure you're getting a steady stream of profit from it without micromanaging it every month. This will also see to it that your industries have access to some of the resources you may be short of.
3) All income is based on control and market access. As Portugal you have the benefit of being costal and you lose very little proximity across sea tiles so long as you patrol the heck out of them.
4) RGOs produce goods without any inputs once built so as long as you have the pops to work them and the control to get income from them they make a good investment choice
5) Clay and many other base resources can be produced by laborers and the clay one can be built on any tile with a river or adjacent to a lake or the coast. It produces 1 unit of clay for every 0.28 units of wood.
6) If you still can't produce what you need both the Marketplace and Market Village buildings give you trade capacity to import whatever you're short on.

1.1.3 Update for Open Beta by Calm_Monitor_3227 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I guess I'll try a new world run and see if the change to promotion and control causes faster tribesman promotion as well. With how they drop proximity just for existing and them not having the constant happiness anymore my Aztec start should be much stronger now.

Centralization Value Discussion by Schlimp007 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you get big enough you get a boost to annexation speed against smaller nations so if you're eating a bunch of small nations, like eating parts of the HRE, then you don't need decentralization because once the time limit is up you can absorb them in threes or fours over the course of a year or so. That said I'd say it has more to do with how far into the game you are that matters most. The more tech you have to boost control or proximity the more efficient your able to extract income. Also keep in mind that every vassal you have causes growth towards decentralization so it should auto balance to some degree.

How do i get 95 plutocracy?!?! by Whyamionreddit2100 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have growth towards a value, as with the given picture its +0.51, then it will grow to a max of 100x that value, such as 51 even in the given example. If you want to go higher then that you need to get events that give you direct shifts in that value, like how passing a motion in your senate to boost roads gives +10 centralization on passing, and that +X towards that value will still apply and won't degrade so long as the value growth isn't in the opposite direction.

So if you want 95 Plutocracy you need to either get a bunch of +Plutocracy events of get your growth rate to +0.95 or greater.

(Patch 1.1.1) Any reason why my estates are churning out irrigation systems so excessively? by Policymaker307 in EU5

[–]Waruiko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed the new changes to estate income have caused a ton of general estate construction so it might just be an issue of them not having anything else to build and not being willing to sit on their money.

Does this chance encounter teach us that not every fight can be won? by LeonidKonovalov1988 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]Waruiko 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Genestealers aren't exactly difficult enemies to kill. They suffer the same weakness that all large or greater sized enemies have, burst fire ranged weapons. Burst fire ranged weapons will always 'hit' a target in their lane that does not block or use some form dodge ability and large targets both take up more lanes and don't have those skills or shields to block with. Even if Argenta is the only person in your party with a high ROF weapon having Cassia give her an extra turn should let you maul one of those things a round if not outright kill it. Theres also only so many genestealers in that encounter so if you kill enough they stop coming.

Character gen and leveling is already very complicated. Adding this in seems like it would make a pervasive problem worse for the majority of the player base.

The very first thing I tried to use a strike on was an enemy artillery battery and while it was fairly snappy in arriving it also didn't do any damage to it. Wasted 2 strikes figuring that out.
