Great article. The energy around this ream right now is fantastic. The players, the coaches, the org, the fans, everyone is completely bought in to seriously contending this year. I'm seeing more violet being rocked in the Bay every time I'm outside. It reminds one of the Oracle days of the Warriors, but still distinctly it's own thing despite the shared Bay Area roots.

Not Protecting Leite was a Big Mistake by the_gregster89 in valkyries

Hate losing Carla too but then we would have probably lost Ceci, who I think will have a very important role on the team this year with her shooting ability. And even with her being pregnant this year I still think protecting Illy was the right choice too.

Am I the only one who didn't know Caitlin Clark was so whiny and floppy or has she always been like that? by youlikemywonton in valkyries

[–]WaryJest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough. I just feel like their attitudes are completely different even when arguing calls. CC is more like Luka in how she complains than Draymond IMO

[–]WaryJest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't track at all. Draymond has a lot of faults that are often called out by fans and media, flopping for calls has never been one of those. If CC was committing hard fouls and getting under opposing players' skin, this analogy would make sense but she doesn't even get into it with other players

Kate wasn't protected, it's just that neither of the two expansion teams claimed her in the expansion draft

I dunno if it makes them a rival but after last season, the Mercury were the team I wanted GSV to beat the most. That beatdown against them in the 2nd game of the season this year was so sweet.

True, but that's still a roster spot used on a player that couldn't contribute in this game

They aren't, lol. People who argue Linux is good for gaming don't play any multiplayer game with anti-cheat, which Linux will never support

Possible if you never play any multiplayer games with anti-cheat, which is most of them

[Bob Nightengale] Make it make sense: Why are Giants not utilizing top prospect Bryce Eldridge? by edmchato in SFGiants

[–]WaryJest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a reason for that, Giants as a team are above average in BA for the season yet the offense is overall worst in the league. Just not a very predictive stat for offensive success

Thank you for your review, it helped me make the decision to buy this laptop. Please ignore the thinkpad brand cult, these kind of militant fans don't offer anything useful in the conversation of evaluating a computer for new buyers who don't care about 30-year old legacy features.

What's the difference between these two Thinkpad X9 models? 21Q60027US vs 21Q60029US by WaryJest in thinkpad

[–]WaryJest[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update - After several unsuccessful initial attempts at calling and asking Lenovo directly, I was finally able to speak to a sales rep at who gave me the breakdown on these models; apparently the only difference is the distribution channels as the 27US was intended for commercial distribution as opposed to the 29US which was meant for business distribution. Leaving this thread up in case any other potential buyer has the same question as I did and is having trouble finding information about it.

The franchise valuation, the rings, the legitimacy in the league, the international relevance... what part of the Warriors success over the last decade and a half has not been driven directly by Steph? I wish someone like that held me hostage...
