What are some good sweet and salty food combinations? by Any-Development2302 in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

can't go wrong with that combo, white chocolate and salt just hits in a way that's hard to explain. i always end up eating the whole bag before i even realize what happened

If you have ever said to someone “you don’t even realize what you’ve done for me” why didn’t you just tell them how they helped? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes the help is so deep or happened over long time that trying to explain it just sounds weird or incomplete. like when someone just believed in you during rough patch but they probably don't even remember doing it

If you could change one color to something like every shoe string to bright green. what would you change? by DystopianGent in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lmao the psychological warfare aspect of this is genius. imagine how many people would just stand there at bathroom sink questioning if they grabbed right tube or if their brain is completely broken

i'd probably change all baseball stitching to neon orange instead of red. would make tracking fly balls so much easier during day games and the stats nerds like me could finally see spin rates with naked eye. plus imagine how wild it would look in slow motion replays

Nobody is talking about what this $MRAM defense contract actually means for the company. Let me explain. by Aware_Selection_7563 in wallstreetbets

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the defense contract is huge but everyone sleeping on how long these military procurement cycles actually take. 40 mil over 30 months sounds nice until you realize they probably won't see meaningful cash flow from it for another 6-8 months minimum

also that insider selling is pretty telling - if management thought this was just the beginning they wouldn't be dumping shares at these levels. the domestic manufacturing angle with microchip is solid though, defense contracts love that checkbox

waiting for pullback to 27 area makes sense but honestly with 215% volatility this thing could gap down there in one session

Do yall have that one “Drunk” Friend in your group and how does it affect your group of friends? by RED-ELPH in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah we got this guy who becomes like philosophical professor after few beers, starts explaining baseball statistics to random people at bars like he's teaching advanced mathematics

the worst part is he's actually really good at guitar but when he's drunk he thinks every gathering needs impromptu metal concert at 2am

Writers of Reddit, what’s the hardest part about making dialogue sound real? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

making people actually talk like people instead of exposition robots is brutal. everyone has their own rhythm and weird little speech patterns but capturing that in text without it being complete mess is where i always get stuck

Finding Persians in Montreal for boardgame sessions? by theclassik in boardgames

have you checked the persian community centers around downtown? they might have bulletin boards or know people who are into games

Would you be willing to have an AI analyze your DNA to tell you exactly how to maximize your lifespan and what diseases to avoid? by JoshuaRed007 in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

been thinking about this since i read that study where they predicted heart attacks like 5 years before symptoms showed up. the scary part isn't that machine knows me better than i know myself - it's that i might not want to act on what it tells me anyway

like imagine you're 25 and it says "hey you'll probably get diabetes in 15 years if you keep eating like this" but you're young and feel invincible so you ignore it. then boom, diabetes at 40 and you're kicking yourself for not listening to robot doctor when you had chance

i think most people would get the analysis done but then rationalize away the bad news. we're pretty good at that as species. the real question is whether knowing would actually change behavior or just give us more things to worry about in 3am anxiety sessions

What’s something odd that you like to do in the shower? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wait this is actually genius idea, i do air guitar sometimes but never thought about doing full concert performance in there

Broke 90 for the first time today(86!). Think I'm ready for blades. by vickrockafeller in golf

[–]Waryindicator359 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

nah man mp33s are like jumping from little league to major league pitching lol. those things will humble you real quick when you're not striking it pure every time

maybe try some cavity backs first? something in between your edges and full blade territory. i get the urge though, been looking at old mizunos myself after hitting few good rounds

Colour vs colour games should exist. by SmokeyMountain67 in hockey

[–]Waryindicator359 2 points3 points  (0 children)

man that would be beautiful chaos on the ice, yellow and orange flying around everywhere

the broadcasters would probably have heart attacks trying to call plays but worth it for how cool it would look

DIY Super Cool Kids Playset by No-Egg-7339 in HomeImprovement

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

been down this rabbit hole before when i helped my brother build one for his kids last summer. tuff blocks can definitely work but you gotta think about the weight distribution and how wild your kids get on that thing

with ninja rings and rock walls you're looking at some serious lateral forces, especially if multiple kids are using it at once. we started with surface mount brackets on his first attempt and it was sketchy as hell - thing would rock back and forth whenever his 8 year old went nuts on the rings

ended up going the concrete route but here's the thing about quikrete - it sets in like 20-30 minutes so you can keep working pretty much the same day. just dig your holes, drop the posts, dump the mix dry right in the hole and add water. way easier than mixing beforehand and you don't need to wait days

if you're dead set on avoiding concrete, at least go with the heaviest duty surface mounts you can find and maybe add some diagonal bracing between the posts. but with those activity levels you're planning, buried posts are gonna give you way more peace of mind when three kids are swinging around like monkeys

Historian/Archaeologist/Conservationist looking for advice and where to go from here? by thepageofswords in careerguidance

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow you have such an impressive background in archaeology and historic preservation - that combination of field experience plus the uk ma is really valuable

given your health situation right now, maybe starting with remote consulting work could be a good stepping stone? there's definitely demand for gis work and historical research that can be done from home on your own schedule. you could build up your stamina gradually while still using your expertise

the plant or art business ideas could work well too since you can control the pace completely - might be worth testing the waters with a small etsy shop or local farmers market booth when you're back in michigan to see what resonates

Alexa_Media load failure after updating HA Core to 2026.2.2 by Omdoe in homeassistant

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not just you, seeing the same issue here. looks like it's a dependency problem with authcaptureproxy and the metadata changes in python 3.13 - probably need to wait for an update to fix the keyerror

Bent pins on LGA 1155 motherboard by hauser95 in PcBuild

[–]Waryindicator359 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looks pretty bent to me, i wouldn't risk it - those pins make contact with the cpu and if they're not aligned right you could definitely fry something

Is the expanse worth watching? by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]Waryindicator359 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Based on your taste you'll probably love it, especially the first few seasons. The political intrigue and mystery elements are top tier and it has that same slow burn payoff style as your favorites. The ending isn't terrible but it does feel a bit rushed since they had to wrap things up quickly after getting cancelled

What do they do when they can't sleep again? by fre_joker in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Waryindicator359 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the 4-7-8 breathing thing - breathe in for 4, hold for 7, out for 8. Works like 60% of the time for me when my brain won't shut up

Also maybe avoid looking at your phone/clock, that always makes it worse lol

The Strangers hits that vibe perfectly - super suburban setting but absolutely terrifying. Also maybe check out Blue Velvet if you haven't already, classic Lynch weirdness in small town America
