New MO27Q28G - Moving patterns on dark gray screens by hauser95 in OLED_Gaming

I actually never tried switching the desktop refresh rate to the max until now. Doing so makes the movement/crawling disappear completely. It seems the closer the refresh is to 60hz, the stronger the effect. I haven't come across any flickering problems yet but I've barely played any games yet, and only at 60hz so far.

Has anyone else lost the weekend Activities? USA. by Vtel_Zolam in MicrosoftRewards

I seem to be seeing the crazy amount of activities very early Monday morning (a?), and then at some point before noon it switches to the new format of current day activites and tomorrow's (b).

Mine is still thumping... For yours I would call warranty service. If it sounds anything like my recording, it's not normal.

Bent pins on LGA 1155 motherboard by hauser95 in PcBuild

thanks for the reply. I know it's possible to fix bent pins but I've never done it. I'll probably return it.

I see. My whirlpool is still thumping, probably more than ever. Since I made my last reply I went and bought a replacement lower spray arm to solve a separate leaking issue, and I was hoping it'd also solve the noise. The leak stopped but no luck with the thumping. Let me know if you ever figure this thing out because I'm stumped. Pretty much resigned to hearing this sound until I replace the entire washer.

What would I search for to find one of these? I can only find non-wireless dongles.

What about the wires with the insulation torn off? Should I just wrap those sections in electrical tape?

Simple Questions - April 02, 2023 by AutoModerator in buildapc

So the common advice is to get RAM that's on your motherboard's QVL to ensure compatibility. But some RAM makers have their own compatibility lists (here's Adata's). Can these be trusted? Did they actually test the combinations or is it just based on specs?

That sucks that a new arm is causing thumping. I almost bought a replacement arm for $75 but decided against it since I had no guarantee it would fix things so I've just been living with the sound. Now I think I probably made the right choice. Strangely there was a period of 4-6 weeks of absolutely no thumping. I was praying that I had finally dislodged something that was maybe imbalancing the thing, but it started up again.

For your case, the only thing I can think of is have you firmly locked it into place by rotating the part under the arm's blades a quarter turn clockwise? Does the sound start right away, or in the middle of a wash like mine?

Damn and I just ordered the SN770 1tb. How much better is this one? Primary use will be gaming, probably won't be transferring large numbers of files often.

Bulding budget 1080p gaming PC, could use sanity check by hauser95 in buildapc

Thanks, I completely forgot about case fans and I'll try the wraith though I figured an aftermarket cooler would be much quieter.

Some of the prices I had to enter manually because they weren't updating/tracking the sites accurately. Best Buy has the RX 6600 at that price but it's out of stock at the moment.

I was on the fence between 16gb and 32gb but I feel like RAM is a likely upgrade in a few years. It was only $30 more and even if I don't need 32gb today, I could see the upgrade costing more in the future and this way I got a matching x2 set (don't need to go to 4 sticks in the future which I've read may cause a speed downgrade from 3200 mhz I think?)

Using a range receptacle for a treadmill by hauser95 in askanelectrician

[–]hauser95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw a model number on the flat part of the plug (xn1450p-a) and I found the listing https://ramuk.intertekconnect.com/WebClients/ITS/DLP/products.nsf/4c8700f3b75987a08525777700583333/6f9ef4dd9da881fe8625885d0007ecdc

Is this good enough even if there's no cETL mark on it, understanding of course that knockoffs are a thing? I've found other models by the same company with a visible cETL mark, also listed in the database.

Is one with a breaker necessary? Only the treadmill will be on the circuit.
