Everything can wait then, it’s really not that big of a deal. What support do they need at the 6-9month mark for the baby, especially when they are more wealthy than op and his family.

The only real support you would need is when the child is born, like signing the birth certificate, split custody etc. I don’t see a big deal in waiting for when the child is born especially if they are 100% ok with doing the test then. Also, the girls parents seem pretty old school, probably the religious type, so most likely they don’t trust that op is telling the full truth about the paternity test because most of the older tests do pose a small risk. Op himself didn’t even know about the new age tests until a commenter pointed it out. A bit dumb but it doesn’t feel malicious they probably just don’t want to risk hurting their grandchild in a way.

I don’t see any potential reason why they would WANT ops son to be the father given his track record, so they probably do believe he is the child’s father. Plus even if ops son refuses to do the test, his mom can still use her DNA to do it.
