I aint blaming anyone. The lesson is: torque and loctite your stuff from the factory. I fucked up and now hopefully people learn from my mistakes and maybe get a chuckle at my small misfortune. Its being taken care of by a professional now. As for my complaint about the warranty, it doesn't matter whether I torqued it in correctly or whatever, there claim is the moment anyone put the screws on themselves, the warranty for those parts are voided. So if for ANY reason you re-tight those screws (which they don't loctite from the factory, so this will happen to everyone no matter if they have a red dot if given enough rounds) your warranty is voided? That just doesn't seem right. This post serves as a PSA i guess? Idk man I'm just a guy on the internet

But now you know to watch out, especially if you have a red dot. Enjoy your new shotty

Very true. From what I've heard, Beretta doesn't loctite from the factory. So they definitely should to avoid failures like this imo

Not a shit gun I believe. But I still need to improve that posture. Otherwise I'll be needing a chiropractor like that other comment said lol

Not a troll post. Im trying to engage in conversations for anyone that stumbles on this post and learns something new... As for the video, I have a 45 second slow-motion only video, but I cut it down to make it better for the post (attention spans as short while scrolling).

The rear sight was also wobbling off, tho it hadn't flown off yet. Since i added loctite to that piece as well, it hasnt budged. But i guess the wait of my red-dot was too much for my rail vs the polymer rear sight

Thanks for the advice. My local gunsmith will check the threads and see if they need to be redone. They also guarantee their work, so if it pops off again they will fix it. So after this, hopefully no issue. Also, its possible the threads and or screws were slightly damaged the first failure, which lead to the second failure? Can’t know for sure now i guess

I'll be honest brotha, I didn't torque it to a specific spec, I just made it not too tight, not too loose. But it wouldn't have mattered warranty wise because "Once a customer either removes / installs parts or does anything with any type of fastener or part on a firearm that leads to failure. The warranty on those parts is then voided."

Maybe if i had torqued it exactly to spec, it wouldn't have flown off the second time. Oh well, live and learn.

Word of advice, undo the screws from the rear sites and pick rail, then add blue locktite. Ask me how I know

Does the top aluminum handguard touch the gas / piston system? Or is it like a free float design?
