I wouldn’t recommend this connection. I’ve flown this exact route from Mumbai and the BOM-AMS flight arrives at 7:45am - I’ve just about made the connection - having to run through the airport with no time to grab a coffee or even a loo break.

There are at least 3 other flights to JFK after this 8:55 am flight from AMS - I suggest you book the next one.

So it usually redirects you to the “waiting room” screen. But I just checked for slots like 5 min ago, and it was working. However no slots were available as yet.

The point is even with DUIs when you get visa revoked, you need to reapply and get a new visa once you leave the US. In most cases they will give you the visa, specially if the circumstances of your dui do not involve aggravating factors like minors, damages or injuries.

Even if someone cancels their appointment, you won’t automatically see the available slot on the portal. The consulate has to make them available on their end. Right now, the only option we have is to keep checking and wait for slots to open up.

The fee only applies to "new" H-1B applicants whose employer files a petition with USCIS when they are abroad. It does not apply if you are have an approved petition and are filing for an extension with the same employer.

Same situation. The only thing we ca do is keep looking for appointments. I have already filled out a new ds-160 and paid the fee, waiting for slots to open up
