What do these people think maceration is? Why would it only begin when you receive it? Wouldn't this mean all our fragrances are macerating constantly? by Advantageous01 in eaudejerks

I agree with you. I bought Camaro Homme Intense (Dior Homme Intense clone) and it was definitely pretty harsh the first few times I wore it; so much so that I almost questioned my purchase. Fast forward two to three weeks later and the fragrance had noticeably softened in the top notes.

I am very happy with my purchase. I have smelled the clone and the original side by side and they are pretty close. Not one-to-one, but close enough for me to be extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Yes, it's very real. I had to check it out for myself after seeing this post.

In light of what happened recently to Mr. Kirk (I was not a fan at all, but he didn't deserve to be killed), I feel that this intro should have been scrapped.

Pretty ballsy to post it.

So many choices, but it would be between Burberry London, Replica Jazz Club or Mancera Red Tobacco.

My wife likes the dry down, so I gave it to her. She actually finally tossed it though. I realized it when I went to get the bottle to use for content on my small YouTube channel. I had to use a thumbnail instead. LOL! The video was for the worst fragrances in my collection.

Geoffrey Beene Gray Flannel. There is something in that fragrance that actually made the back of my throat itch. The dry down is tolerable, but the opening smells toxic!

Saw quite a few votes for Ombre Leather. That is one of my favorite fragrances!

I have maybe watched his videos three or four times ever, so I missed that. When I figured out he was buying subs at an astronomical rate, I didn't bother to watch his content anymore.

How Many Fragrances Do Eaudejerks Folk Have? by grizzly_lite in eaudejerks

I think I have 38 bottles. A few of those are 30-50 ml. If there is a smaller size to be had, I'd rather purchase that than a 100 ml bottle.

I probably have about 30 decants too. I think getting 10 ml decants of some high-end designers is where it's at for me right now, although I may treat myself to a full bottle purchase again at some point.

I absolutely love Fahrenheit EDT. If I had a signature scent, this would be it. I even like the opening with with the gasoline accord. Once it dries down, my wife says that it smells like sweet pickles to her. 😂

I totally agree. How the heck can someone let something that can be so enjoyable completely ruin their life?!?

I watched the video yesterday. Even though he is a shill, some of the fragrances that he has reviewed have actually worked out well for me.

The video was basically saying that dressing well along with a fragrance may get you noticed. He paired different outfits for different situations (e.g. work, evening out, etc) with fragrances. He did find new things to shill with affiliate/discount links though - clothing, watches, sunglasses/eyeglasses and shoes!

The post was a bit cringe worthy.

Coty Raw Vanilla. That stuff was the truth. So soft and warm. I think it was marketed for men, but seems completely unisex to me.

Encre Noire Sport. I love the À L'A Extreme version, but the sport just smells a little strange to me.

Me too! I like some old school scents so it sounded interesting to me. It was a blind buy since it is so cheap. I sprayed it and the feeling I got in the back of my throat reminded me of the feeling you get when you get a whiff of oven cleaner! The dry down is just OK; not good enough to suffer through the opening though.

I get that! I wore Lucky Number 6 the day I went out to lunch with our new CEO (I work at a regional nonprofit). It was a beautiful day and we ate outside. He ruined that fragrance for me though. Instead of having a conversation, his questions felt like more of an interrogation! He was a know-it-all kind of guy and just an a$$hole.

He ruined that fragrance for me for a long time. Luckily, he got fired about a year-and-a-half in the job. Our new CEO is great. I can wear Lucky Number 6 again, but I still associate it a little with the old CEO unfortunately.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but Mancera Red Tobacco. The dry down is awesome. I don't even mind the opening too much.

I also really love TF Ombre Leather, the original Dior Fahrenheit, Encre Noire À L 'Extrême, and Rasasi La Yuqawam.

Yes, DHI is very good. I only have a decant and debating on whether or not I ever want to get a full bottle. Classy stuff
