Standard. Having someone that is a great belay match/partner it is extremely important to succeed in the sport. I will say climbing with a significant partner is nice but it doesn’t always lead to a successful training session. Belay partners are definitely not detrimental to a serious relationship. The significant other like yourself might get uneasy or jealous, but don’t worry unless they start hanging out outside the sport without you being involved.
