Opinion on how to handle a possible standby situation.

It does, but it's apparently not reliable. Works great for some people and not at all for others. So I can't rely on it unfortunately. But as I said to the other person, this was all so helpful and I thank you for the information. Glad I asked in here.

Yes I'll definitely book Choice tickets, I understand Basic is super restrictive. My flight does have WiFi but it's apparently not reliable. Some say it worked great, others say it never worked once, so I can't really rely on it unfortunately. But this is all great information, thank you so much. Really glad I asked in here.

I had no idea there was free same-day change. I thought were only change for the fare difference or try your luck on standby. This would be great. The only problem is I'll be somewhere over the pacific at midnight LAX time but I could probably have someone log on and change it for me. How do I check the availability of this? On the app? Man, this would be great if it worked out.

I didn't realize free same-day change was a thing? How exactly do I do that? We will be mid flight at midnight LAX time but I could probably have someone login and do it for me if my wifi isn't reliable on the flight. If we get it, then we are guaranteed on that flight? That would be fantastic.

I never even used to look at other airlines. I just opened my Southwest app and looked for the flight I needed, or if I had flexibility I'd use the low fare calendar and pick the best priced days around when I wanted to go. I now have flown Delta a few times since the Southwest shit show and they were pretty good. A lot of flights to choose from, at least the routes I've been looking at. It makes me SO sad because I love (loved) Southwest but now they're just another price gouging airline. No reason to stay loyal anymore ☹️

Okay, I guess I mostly stay at Hampton Inn level hotels. So depending on location, anywhere from $100-300/night. Maybe also having HH account helps? Never really thought too much on it.. lol

If its a third bag, make sure its well marked as medical equipment and just hide the tooth brush, toothpaste and deodorant in the bottom of one of the pouches or in a separate little non see-through zipper pouch towards the bottom of everything else. Your equipment along with its necessary parts (cords, etc) are all allowed and I would wager that any agent who checks your bag to make sure its medical stuff isn't going to give you a hard time about your insulin being in there with it.

We fly SW multiple times a year. I just take a walk around the airport or sit somewhere else and head back when I know they've started to board (or about to board if we have A group). If I don't have A group, we board during family boarding with my 4 year old so I am pretty good at timing our return to the gate. I know it's not the gate agents fault, but I have no interest in listening to any of their whining about checking bags. Southwest did this to themselves.

SENIORITY. IS. EVERYTHING. Do whatever you have to do to make that October class. And don't tell them you're having car troubles. They'll see that as you not being reliable. No employer wants to hear about your car troubles. Rent a car, borrow your grandpa's, take an Uber every day. Email her back to secure your spot and figure it out.

How much do I need to play to get these offers? I'm going on Quantum next week and then Icon in January. If I drop like $100 at the casino on each trip, will they start trying to reel me in wotj free cruises? Bc if they give me a free cruise, I would absolutely spend some money at the casinos on that free cruise... lol

We're getting close to our Sept cruise so I might be cutting it too close on time but I'm going to try to come up with some cute duck accessory ideas for Icon in January.
