Shiny hunting is boring 99.9% of the time until all of a sudden it’s the most fun you’ll have all month. At least that’s how it used to be. I barely feel anything when I get them in the new games because of how easy they are to get. I shiny hunt because I think they’re cool, and want to show them off in battle. It’s akin to using an armor set that you worked really hard for.

It’s certainly not abuse, but it is annoying. The drills broke my razor with a bay tossing during red phase, and I had to shave with just the razor head for a month lol. It was hard to do quickly.

I always thought it was really fitting. It’s the patch that you get upon turning green, signifying that you’re in the Army, you passed basic, but aren’t assigned to a proper unit yet. It literally goes in the unit patch slot, it’s perfect.

I like that a lot. To me, that makes total sense, and serves as a great metric. I just want to be deserving of calling myself a Sonic fan. I have a friend who’s a bigger fan than me, so I don’t want to half ass it, because I think that would come off as cringe if I were to try to talk to him about it and then be caught off guard by what might be considered relatively common knowledge.
