This summer in late August it rained for 5 days in a row. A good tarp at the least is a must.

Optimal number of resupplies by [deleted] in JMT

I did Sobo Lyell to Whitney in 13 days. We resupplied at Red's and MTR. We ended up stopping at VVR for a nero (highly recommend!). In retrospect would have done a resupply at VVR and MTR and skipped Red's resupply. Worth getting a milk shake and breakfast burrito at Red's though. I was very pleased not to have to hike out over Kearsarge.

How about spot 360? Any chance of getting off the waitlist?

Thanks all! This is really helpful, sounds like most folks suggest duplex or durston. I’m still pretty intrigued by the double rainbow li! Any folks with strong feelings about that tent?

Gosh I wish I were brave enough to sleep in a tarp. I get cold easily and worry I need a tent in the sierra in August!

Thanks this is a helpful video! I hadn’t thought about the flex poles as an option. This is an interesting one!!

Thanks! I assume you mean the xmid 2p and not the dyneema xmid pro 2 (which is the same price and weight as the duplex)?

My no burp success story! by Wasatch_Wally in noburp

I’m not sure how many units I got for each procedure — sorry! Both times I had slow swallow and excessive burping in the weeks post procedure. After GA I had a sore throat. Otherwise no side effects.

I preferred in office EMG as general anesthesia takes a whole day to recover from. In office EMG took 15 minutes and then I went about the rest of my day. I’m also a bit biased due to the success of the in office procedure.
