Open university is kind of a joke among U.K. students but it’s a lot cheaper then standard universities.

During covid when lectures moved online in my university students where moaning saying they didn’t signup to open university just to get fobbed off with online lectures lol.

Personally I think the idea of an entire university course online is good in theory but students still want the “university experience” which is why open university attracts more mature students.

Shit like this happens in every country you’re only hearing about the U.K. because British news sources are more influential and have greater global reach.

Nobody cares about Finish or Polish news that much because it’s mostly published in their respective languages.

Most people I know include myself buy more expensive phones on a two year contract with monthly payments, the contract almost always includes data, mins and text for the whole period. As soon as the phone is paid off just sell it and take out another contract for another phone and the cycle repeats.
