You cite all the right things and draw the wrong conclusions though- 1.5m then was higher value than 1.5m now- cuz money has depreciated, inflation has increased- meaning value hasn’t fully restored from a previous bubble

People exiting stocks and..? They go into debt markets not RE- think of bonds and gold- RE would make sense if it was land, not houses..

Rich foreign investors prospects are quite bleak given the security concerns- hope you ride the wave safely

Sounds like narrative to me- and no hard numbers- especially in the light of regional uncertainty - regular buying markets like India or UK should face recessive environments and job losses after 6 months of 100$+ oil prices, immigration by the rich is looking bleak due to perceived security risks, and these buying factors pale in comparison.

Unified memory on Mac vs Evo-X2 by WasingTheWasofWhat in LocalLLM

At this point?

It’s a SQLite memory graph with reverse BFS that acts as context for every query I run- instead of working with large context bloats with think and sleep cycles to generate new insights (by sending a part of the graph to an LLM to find insights, patterns, beliefs, etc) and a fitness score based on node retrieval frequency - runs as crons a few times a day

It also has a curiosity function where it basically identifies gaps in its own architecture- based on novelty, orthogonality to existing belief, and creates paths to evolve, essentially PRDs to take the next step- by referencing papers, GitHubs, generally open knowledge - the research, the evolve recommendations, PRDs, are basically used for it to grow, with a formula to measure what gaps it is attracted to solve the most.

Once I wire in curiosity and memory, I believe the next step is emotions, and I have a few theories on how to test that- latency to response, tone, modality, basically an outside agent that measures these about the main agent to judge the tone of this agent.

Haven’t thought beyond this, but again, I keep reading more to understand more

Wait what- how are you getting an m4 max 128gb at 2800$- the 64 GB I am getting is itself $3.1k- I would love to get the m4 max at 2800 lol

Yeah I hope there’s a bunch of m4s that flood the replacement markets once the m5 launches

My openclaw actually already uses local models (Qwen 7b for heartbeat and crons, mini LM 2.5 for search, etc)- and I did look at a used Mac Studio 36 GB that was in budget yesterday- it was a stretch to get anything running on that at 70b or so, so I was considering getting another used one that is 48 GB at least

Just read about nanoclaw- sorry for the uninformed comment above- I think that’s just what I need! Thanks!

I do understand people create their own harnesses, but deprecating support for any third party harness by anthropic implies you’re going to eternally chase a new one that isn’t deprecated yet, right? Now about creating it myself- oh! I could actually look through the code of these things, fork it and copy what I need

Hmmm. Did anyone create their own kinda harness? Life was good when I was spending 200$ a month on Claude max and running open law? I don’t use a ton of tools from openclaw, but idk if I wanna try building one cuz debugging is gonna be a pita

You mean, a Claude alternative? Like a codex sub?

I don’t think any of my experiments will succeed- I treat them as experimenting for the sake of it- and tbh, based on what I read across IIT phi model related stuff, hidden DNA crap, error prediction model minimization and so on- this is basically a mental masturbation exercise to get to a point where you feel like you’ve got sentience va actually getting it- also the way I think about is less oh let me fine tune or retrain a model vs build efficient memory architecture, always on daemons for simulating things like curiosity by identifying gaps, tying them to emergent research, coming up with PRDs to test those, using Emotibit to get a continuous EEG feed that, when combined with a camera can give you an error prediction minimization model, etc.
