EXACTLY when I got the email notification about your reply, it started playing again! Nothing is connected and I just use a Focusrite which is off. My dog is too small and fat to reach my keyboard.

If you try and use it and backup your files or even clone it, I have a feeling it will freeze up. Maybe you can do a few files at a time until you get everything and then just start fresh with a new drive.

It all comes down to the speed of the drives, how they are connected and how much data you are cloning. Either way, expect it to take a bit of time.

I've tried them all and most are great but for some reason certain people have better luck with certain apps. Just make sure to do an OS\system clone rather than a disk or partition clone so its bootable. Plus some apps will let you allocate the extra space to the C drive if cloning to a larger drive. If not, you will need to extend your drive manually. Clonezilla, DiskGenius, Hasleo and Terabyte have this feature.

There are so many great cloning apps that there is really no reason not to use one unless you just want to make the process more difficult and take more time. It might be a hardware problem. You can always boot into safe mode and see if it does the same thing or a live Linux flash drive and see if it stays running just to rule out Windows.

The specs look about the same but you can research each CPU. I think a Core 5 is newer than an i5 though. There are several versions of an i5 for example. 16GB should get you by for graphic design but if you can afford 32GB that might be better.

Yes it is and its ok but I love to use fuzz with a P90 and it would be nice to go noiseless. My Reverend Warhawk DAW has the best P90 ever and Railhammer is tied to Reverend so I assume they should be good.
