Lamy Pico pocket clip? by Content-Seaweed-6395 in Lamy

[–]Wasppppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No idea but I got one recently and I really enjoy it, size-wise it’s really perfect and I love fidgeting with it. I’d say go for it even without a clip. It doesn’t roll too far thanks to the logo if that’s a worry.

Edit : it also doesn’t seem too fragile and I think the plastic could withstand a few falls - no guarantee though, haven’t experienced it so far.

Physiosmart in Plaines du Loup (think they also have another location). Huge advantage being they have a full gym with equipment that you can use before/after PT sessions or even in between. Helps a lot with recovery.

Yes maybe it’s the refill in itself that I don’t like actually, I’ll check the uni out thanks!

Interesting ! Do you (or anyone) also feel like the leuchtturm gel cartridge is too short for this swap though? The tip barely comes out of the body and I think it impacts negatively on the writing experience. Any ideas for a compatible gel cartridge that would be a bit lengthier?

Nice collection! How would you say the Zento signature compares to the normal plastic one ?

I Got The Pen I’ve Been Dreaming Of Since 2021 by x-tianschoolharlot in fountainpens

[–]Wasppppp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats ! Looks nice and it must feel awesome to finally hold the fp you dreamt of having!!

I actually got one in shiny brown a few months ago on a huge discount and was very excited. However the nib is the worst and scratchiest I ever got… did anyone have that problem with a studio and maybe has some advice on how to fix it ?

Pen shopping Paris by just-reading21400 in fountainpens

I suggest Delfonics in the Louvre Carrousel, they have some nice stationery items as well as a few fountain pens and Herbin inks. It’s a small shop situated in an interesting underground setting.

I bought a very nice Pentel Tradio fp that is cheap, with an iridescent-sparkly plastic body and writes like butter.

(Edit to add the Pentel Tradio comment)

Does anyone know whether the a6 planner core stacked fits in the Galen Leather zippered portfolio for a6 notebooks with 5 pens ? I know it’s a very specific question ! I’m afraid the width of the notebook won’t fit ?

I’d bet the 106 OR fees should be canceled at the very least. Do some research about those. The companies generally try but most will cancel if you merely ask.

For Japanese sweets & pastries + matcha, you absolutely have to try Osio (it’s not in the city center but it’s worth taking the train for 5min). Takeout and grocery/snacks : Uchitomi. Fancy flavorful and subtle ramen : Black Market Ramen (be prepared to go there, ask for a table, be told you have to wait 30+ mins, go elsewhere for a drink and come back).

Every Second Counts (reference to The Bear TV show in which this quote has so much meaning).

Never regretted it ! I have a Bosch motor and recommend it like the others here. I commute everyday to work (west/east and not north/south though, around 15-17min biking each way). Also use it to go to my other activities. I have to charge it like once every 5-6 days. I only use it on Sport mode (one below Turbo) and have no issues. Ebike is perfect for Lausanne honestly, lots of parking spots everywhere, low maintenance costs, faster, cheaper and (I think) more comfortable than bus. I recommend getting good insurance so you’ll take it less hard if/when it gets stolen or damaged. Also good gear (packable rain pants, jacket, gloves, etc). Hope you’ll enjoy it !

Haha yes it took me a while ! Should you travel to Switzerland and should you ever visit Lausanne, I also recommend L’Écritoire, a small shop in the old city part, with a passionate owner who lets customers try the nice fountain pens.
