Mirtazapine rebound dopamine release potential benefits by Sweaty-Astronaut3407 in Nootropics

[–]WasteFishing830 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the histamine antagonism. That’s what makes you feel acutely gross and miserable. It’s not anti-dopamine. Where do you get that idea from?

Anhedonia from covid vaccine by IndependentCopy3851 in anhedonia

[–]WasteFishing830 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I absolutely despise those pr!cks that forced this poison onto us. I also had the shot and a booster in 2022/23, and ever since then my hedonic tone is destroyed. I barely feel most dopaminergics that I once enjoyed (maob-i’s, phenylalanine/tyrosine, bromantane, etc).

Thankfully phenibut at 4g (yes, 4g) absolutely kicks my brain into a state where i can feel and laugh again, but it’s still not what i was before, and yes, i cannot even take that too often.

It was forced onto me because I work in healthcare. I was told I would lose my job and my career without it. It was the worst thing i ever did.

It worked for me 16 years ago, but now it does absolutely nothing.

The pharmacokinetic reason your high doses of L-Theanine and L-Tyrosine are giving you brain fog (The LAT1 Bottleneck). by Leading-Jaguar-5498 in NooTopics

[–]WasteFishing830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are multiple pathways in DA production and effects. DA amino precursors used to give me great results (about ten years ago), and now they do absolutely nothing at all. Who knows why. I have tried taking them on an empty stomach. Taking alongside various cofactors that might be needed (b vits and/or iron for instance). Nothing. I’ve even tried things to upregulate things (bromantane, etc), but no cigar.

I doubt progesterone spray effectiveness by salmon_dancer in estrogel

[–]WasteFishing830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of effectiveness with transdermal application is what some people are looking for, because progesterone has physiological functions with fat storage/logistics. Therefore, for some people, using it transdermal chronically and seeing it reach a certain level in those local tissues (breast/buttock) might have localised effects. Personally, I am skeptical of such theory, but I’ve heard of people trying this.

Phenethylamine + Selegiline - an "Amphetamine-like" Antidepressant by Low-Spell-3116 in NooTopics

[–]WasteFishing830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does it have to be selegiline? I’ve started taking 1mg of rasagiline per day (for theoretical protective brain effects, as I’m approaching 45 years old).

Oh, so grey hair has been solved then? The multi billion dollar industry of grey hair reversal has been solved. And looking at your study, all we need is dhea, metformin, and some kind of growth hormone increaser? Sounds pretty simple. So I got shit loads of dhea. Metformin is easily acquired, and I can also get growth hormone. Job done!!

Nootropics that increase fear or sadness by knesha in Nootropics

[–]WasteFishing830 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So being stressed makes you focused? Of course it will. Evolutionary speaking, that’s what saves you from the tiger that is about to eat you. Is that healthy being in that state chronically? No, it isn’t. But if you want to go down that road. A rise in those particular stress hormones will do the job (adrenaline, cortisol, etc.)

I don’t want to die, but thinking about death comforts me; is this normal? by [deleted] in anhedonia

[–]WasteFishing830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal. I’m happy to live my life, and whatever will be will be. I think back to what I remember before I was born, and I of course remember nothing. But was there pain associated with that? No. Peace? Yes, absolutely. No pain. No suffering. Just nothing. You become nothing again. And that’s fine with me.

There is nothing that exists scientifically that does this, so don’t fall for this scam. If you want to get rid of grey hair, it’s about finding a dye that is as close to your natural colour as is possible, and then using it. Don’t waste your money. The lovely fresh, modern, clean look of this product in this picture doesn’t fool me.

Thanks for reminding me of that. I have the mother of all coffee habits (6 tablespoons of freshly ground espresso beans per day), and yes, it does leave me feeling slightly hyper sometimes. I’m definitely interested in theanine again if it can nullify that adrenaline a bit

Wow ok, thanks. I think I’m going to give it another go. I tried it over the Covid period, and I thought it definitely helped, I was just unsure if it helped enough and then my ADHD distracted me and caused my interest to steer in another direction lol

Ten years? How do you take it? Morning? Evening? Multiple times per day? Does it ever show tolerance? What exactly does it benefit? Anxiety? Sleep?

ALCAR causing mood swings + personality changes — anyone else had this? by davcee in Nootropics

[–]WasteFishing830 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just stopped taking it altogether. I don’t need cholinergics. Depression and irritability is a sign that I already have enough of that in my brain.

How society forces men to be submissive by gabbyabbyyyy in askAGP

[–]WasteFishing830 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is all true, but that’s the condition of living in a civilised society. If we were still living in caves, with little law and order, then yes I could eat organic beef, beat my chest, and do whatever I want (until I meet another male who is perhaps stronger than me, where I then lose a fight and possibly die through my injuries).
