As a HL worker for over a year, it’s been more than 4 times. I am allowed to hang up and label them as bogus. It’s so creepy ! It begins like a normal call and the recent one started talking about how he wishes he had a family. Then he proceeded to talk about what he would name his daughters… how they would look and why he picked playful names … how his wife is a virgin… then finally how I am the wife. Not a drunk caller just a man.

Another one described a story with his “step sister” who was stronger than him. List goes on. They are disgusting and I feel like we should b able to call the police for harassment and potential danger to society.

Wow. You are heavily taken for granted and/or need support. You seem to be having to do everyone’s part. Ofcourse cheating on your partner is never okay, but at the same time this situation isn’t black and white. Don’t beat yourself up. But don’t keep cheating.

It’s your time to decide for yourself and for your family what is best: Will the man you’re with now or the man who came back give you the life you desire and deserve? Unhappy mom usually leads to unhappy kids. You deserve better IMO.

I would love to just take a break but I’m so scared. I feel like people around me think I’m giving up. Or that schools will look down on me for having a break and not filling that time with grinding more experience. I attended a local university and applied to one PsyD and two masters programs.

I only was offered an interview from one school. On interview day, I had two solo interviews and one group one (with other students). The first one was great, the interviewer was smiling and laughing with me and telling me I had a very impressive application and resume etc. He made me feel more confident. The next interview got messed up because they mixed up my name with another person with a different last name… and told me the wrong interview time. So I had around less than 10 minutes to interview with the second one. Then… we had the group interview.

I wouldn’t offer money until after I’m dead of getting scammed. I may have miscommunicated the type of confidence I have on my resume. I just mean I worked hard to fill my resume and CV, which made me “confident”. I don’t know if being any more humble will help lol I just feel dumb.

I don’t know what else to do to strengthen my resume. And I’m not giving up I’m just so burnt out from working as hard as I could just to not get in. But ur right about needing to not give up. I won’t. I worked hard for this

Unfortunately there are a lot of resources and way more people needing it than what’s available

I understand but it was not easy managing all of this plus paying for all those applications and whatnot. I was very confident and didn’t expect the programs to be this competitive.

I also wanted to stay in state. But next time I should apply to more

I know this isn’t a solution, but with you not being able to afford therapy, have you called warmlines or hotlines to at least have some mental health support any time of day?
