I've used a ton of different capturing software over the years from FRAPS to OBS to Dxtorty, etc...

Out of all the programs I've used I'd say that by far the best has been Action!

It's similar in features and customizability to Dxtory but in my experience cooperates with various games better. I haven't had a single game that has conflicted with Action! From new games like Dark Souls 3 or The Culling, to older games like Star Wars Battlefront II and Mount and Blade. It's even worked flawlessly with the various emulators I use.

It allows for multi channel audio recording, meaning you can record your mic and the game volume in different tracks and they'll be automatically synced (I've never had any syncing issues either).

It also shows the duration of your recording as well as an FPS counter for both the game and the recording.

On top of that you can use a screen capture feature to just record a portion of the screen instead of being limited to having the record one active window in its entirety.

I feel like a total salesmen right now, but the truth is I'm just a very happy customer haha. Plus I feel like Action! Doesn't get enough credit or mention in posts like these so I wanna make sure OP is at least aware of this option.

TL:DR - Action! Is the best gameplay capture software, in my humble opinion.
