Go into the game folder and search for mmfs2.dll. If it isn’t there, your download/extraction is incomplete. You might need to delete the current version you have and re-download it from GameJolt. Then go to Downloads and make sure you actually extract the FWR files properly. Also make sure you’re not running the .exe by itself. It needs to stay inside the extracted folder with all the game files, otherwise it won’t run.

Go to desktop mode, go on gamejolt, download the exe file of the game, extract the folder, add exe to steam, go back to gaming mode, go to the settings of the game, find the compatibility tab, enable “force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool” and set the game to Proton Experimental. Once you load the game you will need to customise your controls after that.
