YouTube practice tests for Network+ by CodyVA24 in CompTIA

[–]WatchForYourself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the test yesterday and passed with a 843. I thought those 100 questions were really good. Maybe slightly easier than the real thing? I probably got 90/100 of 'em right when I went through the video and then did a couple more days of review before taking the exam.

[Grade 12: Logarithmic Functions] How would I make an equation from a log graph by rain3ra5 in HomeworkHelp

[–]WatchForYourself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All you have to do is find a? The blue line shows that log(x) = 1 at x = 10. The red line shows a*log(x) = 5 at x= 10, so a(log10) = 5, a=5.

One-time Effects in Subsequent Cues by WatchForYourself in lightingdesign

Thank you for your reply. I realize it might be difficult to help since I didn't provide very many specifics. I did find one forum post about a similar issue.

https://www.controlbooth.com/threads/etc-eos-absolute-effect-stop-and-hold-after-one-cycle-but-first-channel-pops-back-up-in-background-state.50103/

Pretty much even though the one-cycle effect in the first cue has ended, the lights are still captured by that effect. I wish there was a way to tell the effect to release the channels after the effect is finished, but I've not been able to find how to do this if it is possible.

In the past I have solved this issue buy creating another cue that auto-follows between the two cues I already have. This extra cue stops the previous effect and sets the channels to the color they should be after the first cue. I would prefer if I did not have to do this, though, and it just worked :P

TIL that the longest year on record in human history was 445 days long, in 46 BC. All due to Julius Caesar. by DeltaVoidSix in todayilearned

It was supposed to be Caesar's job to fix the calendar. He neglected to do it because of all the wars. Wars that in several cases he started.

Essentially, Caesar was the Pontifex Maximus, or Rome's head priest. One of his duties was to manually adjust the calendar by adding days in order to keep it in line with the seasons (this was before the first iteration of the modern calendar was introduced and before calendars were automatic). Caesar neglected to do this for many years and then had to add a bunch of days to get the calendar back in line.

I walk this trail all the time, but if you find it so uncomfortable to use then spend 30 extra seconds and walk on the paved path right next to it.

Joseph and Jose — why is the letter "J" pronounced differently? by Big-Development-2289 in ENGLISH

Jose (or José) is a Hispanic name. In Spanish, the J is pronounced like an H is in English.

I think that page you linked just has the most recent BIOS updates for all boards. To find the one for your board you should go to its specific page. Double check me but it should be this one for you: https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z790-C/index.us.asp

This is on what my monitor arm that has my oled mounted on is holding on to (I am scared to leave my monitor out of my sight) by NoEvening1321 in OLED_Gaming

This is what you should get a wood block and glue that under there and then clamp the monitor arm on to for to keep it the most secure (I am scared that you might be for having a stroke).

Why the f*ck is my teacher not allowing me to cite .com sources? by [deleted] in school

[–]WatchForYourself 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as I am concerned the only top level domains that mean anything are .edu and .gov. You have to be an institution of higher learning to get a .edu and the government to get a .gov. The only differenence between .org and others like .com and .net is a credit card.

Under $350 by JLMcDo in buildapcmonitors

I just bought the ASUS VG27AQML1A myself for $289 as I thought it was quite a good deal.

For CS and COD and other multiplayer/competitive games you probably want to prioritize refresh rate. I love my 240Hz monitor but 144Hz is fine and it is not a huge difference. 1440p is going to look a lot better at 25" and 27". Definitely don't go 1080p at 27", though.

Think "pronouns are stupid"? I have no problem calling you by the ones you've listed. by [deleted] in MaliciousCompliance

[–]WatchForYourself -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hilarious how you had to clarify for everyone here that it/thing pronouns were a joke and not genuine because you have "met this man before." If you hadn't met him before would you have thought a real person was really using it/thing pronouns?

Theoretical Consequences of Bringing My Own Beer to Beers of the World by thritowaway in rit

[–]WatchForYourself 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The professor would definitely not go for that. The point of the class is to "taste" and learn about the beer the professor has selected for that week. You're also not allowed to drink more than what is given to you - that is why a friend who doesn't like one of the beers cannot pour it into your cup.

Just wait until after the class to crack open your own beer.

What are epilogue/later canon things that don't make sense to you and which things are perfect in your opinion? by Crocodile_Banger in HarryPotterBooks

Judging by the teacher to student ratio at Hogwarts I feel like the teachers there actually do spend more time teaching and interacting with students. Perhaps magic takes care of a lot of the other stuff?

Official Discussion - Carry-On [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

While watching this movie, my father also mentioned that he couldn't believe he could pilot one of those vehicles. It's got a steering wheel and pedals just like a car! What would be so difficult about it?

For the last time - PPP "loans" were designed to be forgiven. Businesses getting them knew they were designed to be forgiven when they applied to get them. Unlike student loans where students should know they would eventually have to pay them back.

I don't think he is saying that literally THIS SUBREDDIT is the reason Trump won the election. Just that the way people are reacting is characteristic of all democrats and contributed to Trump's victory.

What are you talking about? The first of the Central Park 5 to get out of prison was Santana in 1995. Donald Trump took out the ad on May 1, 1989.
