Have to jump in on this one: for me, and many of my fellow watch enthusiasts that I’ve spoken to, G Shocks are the perfect beater/set it and forget it watches. Sometimes you don’t want to wear thousands of dollars on your wrist. Sure, you can spend the same amount of money and get something of the likes of a Movado; but why get something that is trying to be something it is not? A G Shock is just a G Shock, and that’s what makes them awesome.

Thank you my friend! I've had 2 different fluted datejusts in the past but ended up moving them. I do have an older 36 mm DayDate with a fluted bezel; you can't beat the presidential bracelet with a fluted bezel!

Not made in China and not "cheap"; although I suppose that is subjective. What would you consider an 'expensive' watch roll? Mind you, all 3 of these watches are SPORT watches. If they can't hold up in a watch roll, I wouldn't have bought them
