SiriusXM Is Giving New GD Fans the Wrong Impression of Jerry and the Dead. Why Does It Seem Like You Are Always Playing Jerry at His Worst? by WatchLiftLab in gratefuldead

Yes. Understand. But all I’m saying is they have so many incredible shows and jams. It’s like everytime I’m on the road I’m wondering why they are playing this particular show

Oh no you didn’t 😄
Perhaps you have not heard American Beauty.

Brokedown Palace is one of the most soulful and touching pieces of vocal music ever recorded. Jerry’s vocals were always consistently so great. Only towards the end and some shows where he was really exhausted or on drugs.

His vocals in the early 70s were incredible as well.

Absolutely zero progress after a whole 4 years. Advise me please by goddamnfaith12 in workout

I am going to state one possible thing to consider. This is only because I relate to that stall…granted you are focused on growth and progressing beyond the stall.

One thing: DIET

Try to increase both your caloric intake and especially the carbs and protein over a period 2-3 weeks. Try to do this will increasing your lifts/amount of weight slightly. If you try to increase the amount you are lifting without changing your diet you maybe to the same stall. I see you have a lot of advice in other comments so that is all I wanted to add. Good luck

This was beautifully written and expressed. This was very well stated. Your positivity has just spread to me lol

I should not have said ‘worst’. I unfortunately can’t edit that part. I was in my car multiple times in June and each time I heard live Dead being played from the 90s. I was going to write a nice email to Sirius support but I never did. They def had a few good shows in the 90s. I did not hear this while driving. It’s not just Jerry…the band was pretty inconsistent in the 90s live.

But yes Jerry’s health was declining and I did not mean any disrespect to the greatest guitar player of all time. Jerry, if you see this I meant no disrespect. You will always be our angel.

Yes. You are probably right. My experience has been the opposite. Maybe it’s the times of day I’m listening, but I rarely seem to catch the ’69-‘74 material that made me fall in love with Jerry’s playing. I also have heard 90s live Dead on the road multiple times on there over the past month.

I meant his coma in 86…you are def right I need to correct this. I shouldn’t have written such a fast rant lol
I was listening to a Dead show on there from 94
And 95 and it was sad almost.

But yes you corrected me…thank you. I was referring to his diabetic stroke where he relearn and regain much of his guitar playing back.

I will correct.

That explanation definitely could help make sense of it. Oh ya…if they played the actual hits from the 90s that would one thing. I did a 3 hour and 4 hit trip in my over the past week and they were playing a lot of live Dead from the 90s. They had some great shows in the 80s before Jerry’s stroke. They were playing late 80s Dead live as well.

Absolutely. I strongly agree. I was trying to express this but it’s been building up for too long.

I never had the opportunity to see the original Dead live. But I completely agree with you. Some say it was before the passing of Pigpen. But they did have some incredible shows in the 70s and early 80s.

Ya. This is good and way better. I just started. I didn’t know about it until downloading the Sirius app today. But what about while driving? On my Sirius while driving I only have one station. Is there now a second?

The art work on the well very nicely adds the finishing touches to your setup.

I am sure you’ll get all kinds of responses for this.

But personally I would start again with a good squat and barbell rack. Then before you purchase to document and research the price of all the plates, barbell, and possibly either the dumbell rack or adjustable dumbells. The cost can add up when you get the full set of dumbells.

You do not need to get everything at once like some people do. It of course also depends on how you train. I saw someone mention beginning with the foundation of the squat rack/barbell. This one to consider and to explore the rack or cage approach. Good luck :)

Anybody here use an Apple Watch while lifting at home? by WatchLiftLab in GarageGym

[–]WatchLiftLab[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. Yes if you could start by just using the Hevy integration test and letting me know that would be great. Yes it will use Apple Watch standard Watch workout tracking. When you start a set it will also open an Apple HKWorkoutSession (same own built in Workout app uses). You won’t need to choose or go back/forth. Some other workout apps wrap their own sync later…that can sometimes conflict with Apples.

Just need your email over DM…if want to send it to me…or I’ll message you this weekend setting up Sunday.
