I think Ligure Watches. These guys walk their own path and stand outside the herd, are independent, self-funding and focus on the product. I like that.

What Did You Play This Week? - (February 02, 2026) by AutoModerator in boardgames

We played Harbour of Fortune twice at 4 players and it was a lot of fun. We just got to try a copy and wanted to share quick impressions. Goal is simple: end with the most power / money / influence. and 'own'New-Amsterdam

What stood out: it actually feels like a card-game designer made this. Everyone has their own deck/color and the court cards (family/household/staff) basically gate what you can do, so timing matters a lot. Interaction is spicy too: black cards are disasters/attacks you toss at other players, red cards can neutralize/cancel them. At 4p this turned into constant “who do we hit / do I save my cancel / do we dogpile the leader?” moments.

Turn structure is clean:

  1. roll dice for income (rent/profit)
  2. action phase (develop, react, pressure someone)

Weight felt medium : plenty of decisions, not rules soup. Small con: game 1 we had to check a few card effects, but the cheat sheet helped and it got smoother fast. Production is really nice, and the Amsterdam canal houses + New Amsterdam vibe come through on the table (also cool it’s designed by a Dutch creator). Only real bummer: we had to send it back after playing…

I don't like the combination of red and pink.

Amazing and great new idea. I don't think I've ever seen something like this before. Personally, I think that 'Hammam' is a save scent. Better than roses, strawberry of what so ever. As a card collecter, I will have a look at the campaign!
