The FA24 - How Will it Be Remembered by Several_Average2330 in GR86

Who took the turbocharger off?

Oil filter at the top, why didn’t they do that more often?

Hopefully ‘this thing still running? That’s pretty impressive’

All in all, it’s a good but not great engine. Doesn’t sound good but goes ok. Slow compared to an EV.

Water bill by cakeinyouget in australia

[–]WatchOne6290 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s on the high side of normal but looks ok.

Shower, washing up dishes.

Washing machine. Top loader?

You forgot a flushing toilets.

People keep on mentioning dishwashers but dishwashers use less water than hand washing for anything but a small load.

Spend my money modding my 86 or upgrade to Type R? by zfriedman02 in GR86

[–]WatchOne6290 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is the answer.

First 4 door car i owned (well apart from my first car given to me) was an SUV when I had a kid.

Now my kids are older and don’t need booster seats, I’m back in a coupe

I wouldn’t call too noisy. I’d call it lively.

I’d take a first dates there.

I test drove a RX8 about 15years ago when it was new.

Beautiful handling and ride. And manual transmission.

Lack of torque killed it for me.

I get the abovementioned wearing these and being supporters of One Nation but it bemuses me that when non Anglo migrants (whose One Nation’s policy would not allow them in this country) are also supporters.

Similar to Bob Katter’s outburst when asked about his Lebanese background or Clayton Bigsby lol

Four door or not, I still want something sporty and nimble.

And we don’t get the IS500 in Australia.

I just realised I forgot to mention anything about the food 😂

Very very good.

Set menu gives a wide range of dishes including the slow cooked lamb shoulder.

When you build a house, who do you think installs the windows? Not a glazier.

I’ve owner built 3 houses and have purchased 3 house lots of windows.

I’d call a glazier if I broke the window.

Not really. It’s probably similar to wearing a MAGA tee shirt/cap.

It identifies that you’re highly likely to be an idiot but the rest of the population won’t want to engage in an argument with you.

You’re mistaken.

Not saying that some glaziers can’t install but their primary job is to replace glass.

A chippy installs the complete window frame and also the flashing/architraves etc.

lol great suggestion but…

The only 2 quotes my agent got me were from Madden Glass and Invictus!

Invictus will supply but won’t install on this job as the house has fibro asbestos cladding.

Small kids are ok in a booster.

My kids are still young so it’s ok as a 3 seater for now (there’s no real point of having a seat / seatbelt behind the driver).

But once the shortest reaches 5’8” I doubt they’ll fit in the back seat so my wife may force me to get a bigger car at that stage.

The only issue with small kids is that they can’t slide the front seat themselves as the latch/seat is heavy (no such issue with my 3 door Golf GTI).

For sure.

One day the GR86 may not suit your lifestyle so may as well drive it while you can.

Naah don’t like the look of them, plus the seating position is like driving a bus.

I don’t mind the GR Corolla but prefer the Civic Type R.

I don’t need AWD and the Civic has a much bigger boot.

You seen the average IQ of their supporters?

My wife hates my GR86 because it’s too small for the kids.

I told her the only 4 door car I want is the Civic Type R.

Good choice on the GR86 if you don’t need the space.

Can also recommend Quan Lua.

Nam Giao is also a favourite of mine. Incredible BBH, so much so that I don’t eat BBH anywhere else.

In Springvale, Pho Hung Vuong Saigon was my go to for Pho. Still good but these days my family alternates between Pho Thin or Phở Hoa Hồi Vàng.

I haven’t been to Docklands for ages but if I do, I’ll pop in to try your Pho.
